A federal judge has ruled the taxpayer-funded Medicaid program must cover transgender surgery in Wisconsin.
Judge William Conley, of U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, an Obama appointee, said a 1997 state regulation that excluded transgender treatments and surgeries from Medicaid coverage violated federal law, including the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare; the federal Medicaid Act; and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
A press release at National Health Law Program (NHeLP), which joined with other law firms in the class action lawsuit that challenged the exclusion, noted the state did not appeal the ruling “and has agreed to settle the named plaintiffs’ remaining claims.”
The original case involved four plaintiffs with gender dysphoria — all on the state’s Medicaid program — who sought transgender treatments and surgeries but were unable to get the procedures funded.
In his decision in Flack v. Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Conley observed a “consensus within the medical profession (is) that gender dysphoria is a serious medical condition, which if left untreated or inadequately treated can cause adverse symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, serious mental distress, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.”
However, more attorneys and physicians believe doctors eagerly providing cross-sex hormones and transgender surgeries to gender-dysphoric individuals may be committing medical malpractice.
For example, Idaho-based endocrinologist Dr. William Malone told Breitbart News it is “inevitable” that malpractice lawsuits will be brought forward in the cases of individuals with gender dysphoria holding the belief that life-changing physical alterations will make them happy.
“When bad ideas get put into practice, bad outcomes occur, and then the people who have been hurt will seek to hold those who hurt them accountable,” he said, adding:..

Face it. Many judges are neither decent nor wise. In a sane world this would be appealed to the Supreme Court and if it were wise and decent, it would put an end to this lunacy.
Let the funding come from the judges pay if they think it’s a good idea. I do not want my tax dollars spent on human mutilation of mind or body.

Interesting you should make that comparison. A doctor written article recently compared the two. He wrote, “Transgender surgery is the twenty-first century’s lobotomy.”
People are doing things that are trendy and they will have to live the rest of their lives with the results, long after the “fashion” has changed. Same with tattoos, but it’s easier to live with a tattoo on your butt than missing your male member.

Looks like this is what the people of Wisconsin wanted. First they voted for Obama twice and he gave them this judge and then in 2018 brought in a democrat governor and many blue house and senate state politicians.
Judges with both political bias and an active judicial imagination are a great threat to our nation.
Personally I blame those who found penumbras and emanations in the Constitution for starting this trend.

We have got to rid the federal bench of these moron judges. How do we go about it? I mean, if you or I did something so stupid on our job, we’d be fired. This clown obviously does not know the first thing about actual civil rights.
Someday a state governor, backed by the state legislature, is going to tell a tyrannical federal judge to pound sand. The issue will be one where an overwhelming majority of the American people disagree with the judge. The judge will then be shown to be impotent. I hope this event occurs in my lifetime.
We must remember, many of the powers the federal judiciary exerts, particularly the arbitrary dictates of individual judges, are not enumerated in the Constitution, they were asserted by the judiciary and became “law” because Congress, the President, and the States acquiesced to this assertion of power. It is long past time to just say no to the black robed tyrants.
The lack of treatment does not cause these symptoms.
These symptoms are part of gender dysphoria.
Body mutilation is not a proper treatment for anything. Disfigurement of the body only increases the anxiety and depression.
