BOSTON (WHDH) - Here in Washington, the “I” word is “impeachment.” But, on the presidential trail, there’s another “I”– Iowa.

And the vote there that’s now less than two months away.

Tonight, our exclusive 7NEWS-Emerson College poll shows impeachment isn’t hurting former Vice President Joe Biden or President Trump in the Hawkeye State.

“We’re on a ‘No Malarkey’ tour,” said Biden, who may owe his election to his bus if he becomes president.

Biden was slipping in Iowa when he took an eight-day ‘No Malarkey’ tour through the state.

It made a big difference.

Technically, she is right thought. Hillary is leading the polls, but is technically not a candidate either.

Run, Hilly, run!

Emerson predicted an electoral landslide for Hillary.

Emerson also had a huge lead for Hillary in the Iowa caucuses 2016.

That’s all need be known.

Here’s Emerson’s tweet on the head-to-head match ups.
Incredible that Mayor Pete is the closest to PDJT!

As an Iowan, here is my take on the Democratic voter base here. And remember, this is a caucus, and not a primary. so you need the extra motivated voters to go sit there for an hour at least.

The Biden people are the old school Democrats. They are going to be 55+. Union yes! types. Do not like the AOCs of the world taking over their party. Most people here on FR would find them to be good neighbors to have.

There is a good amount of Bernie Bros still around. Young college males, and whacko commie types. These people are going to come out and vote in a caucus for Bernie. Not a lot of them, but their support is deep.

The Pete Butt people are the suburban moms that think he is nice. They are the people that put the French Flag superimposed on their Facebook profile. I think he would win an Iowa primary. Not sure he is going to win an Iowa caucus tho.

Warren is probably 4th in Iowa. Older women here seem to like her, but I don't think she connects with a lot of Iowa D voters. I think this poll is legit for her. She's probably in 4th here.

The rest is all a crap shoot. In a specific precinct, you have to have "viability". The count noses at the caucus, divide it by the delegates to the county convention--say 8 or so. So say there are 100 people at a precinct voting. If a candidate doesn't have 15 people caucusing for them, they become unviable, and those supporters have to choose another candidate. So you might have 4 Tulsi supporters show up, but they basically get "poofed" and have to join someone else or just go sit in "undecided". So you might have 4 Tulsi, 2 Yang, 2 Steyer people say "screw it" and just form an undecided delegate.

So organization locally is huge in getting delegates, which is the real count on caucus night, not total votes. So when you see percentages released that night, it will not truly be total votes, but percentage of the delegates.
