If the report released Monday by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz constitutes a “clearing” of the FBI, never clear me of anything. Holy God, what a clown show the Trump-Russia investigation was.
Like the much-ballyhooed report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the Horowitz report is a Rorschach test, in which partisans will find what they want to find.
Much of the press is concentrating on Horowitz’s conclusion that there was no evidence of “political bias or improper motivation” in the FBI’s probe of Donald Trump’s Russia contacts, an investigation Horowitz says the bureau had “authorized purpose” to conduct.

No matter what people think the political meaning of the Horowitz report might be, reporters who read it will know: Anybody who touched this nonsense in print should be embarrassed.
“Joke” isn’t the right word to describe this pernicious fraud.
So now framing a presidential candidate and sitting president and actively using tax payer dollars and government agencies to defraud a very powerful court is just a joke?
Amazing to see this come out of Rolling Stone. It doesn’t convict the FBI, but it destroys the MSM tropes we’ve endured the last 3 years.
I wonder if Trump tweeting this out could cause enough House Dems to second guess Nazi Pelosi’s schemings...

Add all the “mistakes” together and it is easy to see why conservatives see a conspiracy hiding in plain view. Unusual to get a measured piece of journalism in a very progressive magazine. I’m old enough to remember when journalists weren’t partisans to the point where they published crap that anyone with a lick of sense knew was absurd. Well done, Matt
When the progressives start losing their own supporters in the media, then perhaps a great awakening is happening.
