I can’t decide whether I want them to impeach and further damage themselves and open up the potential for a really fun trial in the Senate with Humper and Joe Biden on the witless stand, Schiff schiffing his pants, etc...or to not impeach and get hammered by the AOC wing of the party who will probably oppose vulnerable Dems more effectively than the R’s could.

They’re actually BEHIND schedule, I think. There was a story here a few months ago where someone said McConnell was advising GOP Senators to be prepared to have the impeachment articles sent from the House before Thanksgiving.

Even before this #seinfeldimpeachment Dems were looking at a best case scenario of 15 or so states plus DC..... regardless of who the nominee was... and they weren’t on a BEST CASE path even then...
Post impeachment, they are looking at 10 states as their best case....
The “moderate” democrats that won in 18 in Trump districts were always on borrowed time... Most were not going to survive an election where Trump was on the ballot... (2020) but after running as supposedly “moderates” and then voting to move this nonsense forward, they are almost all assuredly toast, regardless of how they vote on the actual articles themselves..... They ran as independents who would not rubber stamp the radical left wing and Nancy Pelosi and then did exactly that....
Senate probably wasn’t going to see much movement, but the Democrats have so damaged their brand as a whole with this nonsense, I would expect the GOP to pick up a few more seats... Jones was an automatic pickup.. I don’t expect huge movement, but I would expect a few more senate seats to end up GOP.. and hopefully with non wishy washy candidates so the Collins, Romney, etc folks are no longer needed to get to 51.. so we don’t wind up with another crazy show when Trump appoints his next Judge to the Supreme Court.
