I think dems will be very disppointed if they hope to use "obstruction of congress" for impeachment.
Thank you!!
It is certainly within the power of the Senate not to hold a trial and to dismiss the charges. However, if it holds a trial, it has to hold a fair trial. An impeachment trial is clearly a criminal trial because the constitutional grounds are criminal (high crimes and misdemeanors) and therefore due process provisions of the constitution apply including the right to process for obtaining witnesses.
Just the Northeast and Left Coast congress-critters having a hissy fit because the rest of the country didn’t elect “their” phoney-baloney candidate.
Would a VETO be considered “Obstruction of Congress?
Of course it would!
According to these Schiff ashhaoles, PDJTs public statements made in his own defense are “Obstruction.” Samne with PDJT claining privilege to the attemted testimony of Trump staff/ Eric holder claimed privilege for Obama dozens of times , but no one charged that Obama was doing obstrution.
One standard for a Dem President and another for PDJT.
