Horowitz (ie IGs) are basically auditors. They have no power to indict, or compel witnesses. They are internal administrators, and are fairly easy to “ignore” and easy to obstruct.

That being said the Horowitz report actually has a lot more “bad stuff” than I expected.

And the Durham statement is a Bombshell. Yea really, when have we seen an AG make a public statement like that when their investigation is not complete.

Horowitz will appear before Senate Judiciary on Wednesday. I imagine the GOP members will concentrate on clarifying ambiguous points and terminology. I am really curious to hear what the Dem members ask. I don’t see that they have anything to work with as far as blunting the impact of the report. But if they don’t then this new stuff will quickly overwhelm the impeachment circus, which is built on nothing at all.
