For Democrats, It looks like a brokered convention is coming
American Thinker ^ | 12/09/2019 | Silvio Canto Jr.

Back in 2016, we speculated about a brokered convention.  Remember the stories about Trump failing in the first vote and Kasich taking it in the third round?

Well, it may happen this time, as Karl Rove is outlining:

There’s growing concern among Democrats that their July 2020 convention in Milwaukee could open without a candidate who receives a majority of the vote on the first ballot.

The last time that happened to the Democrats was 1952.

There are now four candidates—Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren—who have enough support and money to be competitive through March.

A fifth candidate, Mike Bloomberg, has enough cash to burn a wet mule and a strategy that says he doesn’t care how he does until the 27 primary contests and two caucuses in March. Many mules will perish at his hands.

The problem stems from the party's rules and the proportional distribution of delegates.

So what happens if no one has the convention wrapped up? That's when the so-called "super delegates" step in and no one really knows what happens next.

They may go for the electable argument and throw the delegates into disarray, specially the left.

They may select Joe Biden and then please the delegates by forcing a VP on him, such as crowd-pleaser Stacy Abrams of Georgia.

My prediction is for riots and civil unrest from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Gary, Indiana.

Democrats should demonstrate elections without the electoral college. One nationwide Democrat primary, candidate with the most votes wins the nomination. Don’t Democrats want democracy?

Brokered because after Trump they just cant take the risk of having the public vote again.

The public vote is a threat to their "democrazy".

I think it will be Big Mike or Bloomin’ Idiot, but the she-devil is such a narcissist that she thinks it will be her. She has enough illegal money and blackmail material that she thinks she can pull it off.

There won’t be a brokered convention. Hear this nonsense every 4 years. Biden will wrap it up quickly. Bloomberg might be the only one to goto the mat to stop that but does he have enough real support to get it done? Of course the dream scenario would be Bernie does into the convention with the most delegates and the super delegates put Biden over the top. Here’s hoping!

Think like a Democratic insider.

If Biden dies, you just replace him with a “double”.

You own the media—nobody will be able to prove anything.

Mrs. Bill and Mike Robinson are still waiting in the wings. Would it be then a “brokered” convention if the first ballot is inconclusive among the nobodies and idiots remaining after the primaries and then the Super Delegates i.e. the DNC simply insert their own choice? Brokering implies some sort of wheeling and dealing. I don’t see that happening, even if there is no result on the first ballot. The DNC will impose its choice one way or another but it will be pretty much by fiat, not bargaining.

RE: I expect Crooked or Big Mike to show up at the convention to be crowned by the crazies.

I’m not sure which “Mike” you are referring to. Is this the Billionaire or some other Mike?

The real question: who actually wants to be the nominee?

Unless the “impeachment” succeeds beyond the Left’s wildest dreams, Trump is lining up for a landslide win. Who wants to be responsible for blowing well north of $1,000,000,000 just to get “Mondaled”? Second place is a terrible place for Presidential election contenders (3rd etc never had a chance so don’t take it so hard), just ask Hillary & Romney & McCain & Kerry & Gore & Dole & Dukakis & ..., well, Mondale. Insofar as they had established political careers they were able to continue them, though it really broke Hillary.

I seriously have to wonder if the brokering will involve candidates just trying to get the best deal to get out of the race, leading to some pretty crummy deals.

Now is the chance for a dark horse to jump in, pay the other candidates to get out of the way (which they’ll be eager to do), and leverage the opportunity for the fame & money of running (already burned out for the existing candidates) - knowing full well how it will end - which otherwise would not be an available chance.

I think it pretty clear Biden is suffering from delusional dementia and will not be mentally competent to run for President.

I suspect Biden will bow out “for health reasons” and the Democrat Party Bosses will nominate Clinton as the replacement candidate at the Convention.

As we saw in the DNC corruption in 2016, the Democrat Fascist Party Bosses really hate the whole primary system. They would rather select their candidate and tell their brain dead voter base who they will be voting for in Nov 2020.

Who are the super delegates and who do they owe allegiance to?

Oops, time to get those three “constitutional scholars” back to explain why Trump is impeachable but Hillary is not.

“They may select Joe Biden and then please the delegates by forcing a VP on him, such as crowd-pleaser Stacy Abrams of Georgia.”

I can see the campaign ads now...Biden in his southern gentleman white coat and tails, and Stacy in her apron and hair covering.

Colonel Sanders and Aunt Jemima 2020.
Okay, that’s LOL funny. That said, I believe Big Mike will ride in to save the day. Mayor Pete will be her/his VP and all’s right in the fevered leftie world.
