“Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Saturday that he is not characterizing the attack as terrorism “at this time.”
SMH
I caught flak weeks ago when some here, or more than some were saying we have to be pragmatic and support saudi arabia against Iran.
I live in NYC and those towers were beautiful and 3000 people DIED. Not counting MANY firemen who went on to get cancer and die. A few I knew.
THEY STILL DONATE BILLIONS to terrorism, we DONT need their oil and BOTH Iran and Saudi Arabia are not friends when they are giving a fortune to terrorists and terrorism.
I cheered when their oil fields were bombed.
I will cheer if they get hit hard one day by a missile attack.
Bush saved their butts.
Alright let me stop.
Get angry.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Saturday that he is not characterizing the attack as terrorism at this time.
The HELL it’s not terrorism. It was an assault on our nation by Saudi Islamists.
Our government already knows the goals of Islam. We therefore are being fed to these predators for political appeasement.
Keep the bastards out of our country.
By the time he is ready to announce his decision, Hillary Clinton will chime in saying "what difference does it make at this time?".
I’m not characterizing Defense Secretary Mark Esper as someone with a functioning brain “at this time.”
“Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Saturday that he is not characterizing the attack as terrorism at this time.”
It’s terrorism, but likely not for the normal Jihadi reasons. Not that it makes any difference to the victims. Considering what this guy could have done if he was activated later when he was flying an armed jet fighter, it was peanuts. So, why was he activated now?
Think back a few months ago to the Saudi Oil IPO. The country desperately needs that money. Likely, without it the country will either erupt in civil war or become substantially less a force in the region. What happened to that IPO? A missile attack drove the likely take for the IPO to a much lower value. This was unacceptable, so the Saudis put it off. It was rescheduled for a later date. If I recall, that date was coming up soon. So, here is yet another attack that will drive down the price.
Who is behind these attacks? Well, Iran was definitely behind the attack on the oil infrastructure. Likely, they were behind this one as well. If we delve into it, either the attackers were an attempt by Sunni Saudis to integrate Shia people into their country (I think they have three million) or it is a Sunni who wants the regime to fall.
Again, it doesn’t matter to us which it was, but designating the attack as terrorism presents some diplomatic problems the president would rather not have to deal with as that won’t help the situation for the US or Saudi Arabia, but it will help Iran.
It is not “terrorism”.
It is an act of war by the irregular forces of Saudi Arabia.
Again.
