The Justice Departments internal watchdog has determined that political bias did not influence the federal investigation of potential links between Russia and the Trump campaign in 2016, according to people familiar with the matter, countering White House claims of deliberate partisan influence.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who will release his long-anticipated report Monday, also found that the FBI had enough evidence to justify obtaining a foreign intelligence warrant in 2016 to conduct secret surveillance of a former Trump campaign advisor who had multiple contacts with Russian officials, the people said.
The reports findings are expected to effectively reject or dismiss the most explosive allegations from President Trump and his allies that FBI officials and agents broke rules and laws in their pursuit of evidence, and deliberately sought to derail Trumps candidacy.

The report appears to confirm the worst suspicions of Nunes and others close to the situation. That makes it a killer for the Dems. Horowitz just dug out facts. He isn't the cop. His facts, when combined with those resulting from Durham's investigation, should suffice to start us the long road to justice.
What do you want to accomplish with your negativity and defeatism?
U.S. Attorney John Durham - I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff. However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing ...last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the reports conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.
Not entirely true...lots of illegals committing crimes and getting light or no sentences.
Some blacks and homosexuals also.
Probably, due to the elites desire to socially engineer everything..?
The report buried facts as well and YOU CANNOT support the report in full and support Durham also. Durham sees there are BIG problems with it - and that taints ALL of it. Those problems go to the HEART of the issue - "was there political bias?" and "was it proper in the first place?" Your beloved report says NO and YES to those questions.
All other questions get lost in the noise of the entire narrative - and you know it. Because THAT is what the MSM will drive home - that the narrative of the president that there was political bias is a lie - as proven by the IG report.
And now you support his findings. Congrats.
So I thank you for clarifying that you support the finding of the IG that there was NO political bias against the president and that the investigation was proper, as was the warrant against Carter Paige. I’m glad you agree with the IG report regarding those issues. I DO NOT.
Show me where those conclusions can be found in the report.
