--SNIP-- Since the law took effect in April, 574 accused domestic abusers in Philadelphia were ordered to hand over their weapons, but only 62 of them complied.
Im really shocked at those figures, said former State Rep. Marguerite C. Quinn, a Republican from Bucks County who sponsored the bill that ultimately became the domestic-violence law known as Act 79. Is it a matter of manpower? Is it disrespect of the new law? Is it they are going out and people dont have guns? I have a domino of questions.

Not!
I’m waiting for the cops to go door-to-door and take these guns away by force. It’s a good test case for ideas being promoted by Democrats.
From ACCUSED abusers at that, not CONVICTED abusers only.

Ms. Quinn is either stupid or incredibly naive. Because that law affects two groups of people. The first group consists of people who are criminals. The second group consists of people who were unfairly targeted.
Neither group has the slightest motivation to turn in their guns.
Id like to see them try this in Susquehanna County.
“Is is disrespect for the new law?” No, it’s respect for the Constitution.
Shall not be infringed. You want to arrest convict and incarcerate. Go for it. Want to give them 20 years (or execute them if need be)? Ok by me. Once they are out and about and have served whatever sentence they were given, then the constitution still abides.
Plenty of water and potential boating accidents all around Philadelphia.

wow your right..good catch, anyone can accuse someone of something (Some people did something) A liberal, a scorned wife, a past lover or just a jerk of a neighbor..............funny thing is the state representative thought people would comply. Has she not seen the crime in Phila or elsewhere...laws are broken every day.
Women use PFA petitions as a weapon. Accusations mean nothing imho.
Obviously we need more laws./sarc
What concerns me is liberals seem to live in their own special reality. Problems arise when they legislate laws designed to work in their special reality. What if reality is different? The rest of us have to live in our reality but with rules designed for something else.
These laws are called red flag laws, and they are becoming prevalent in several leftist states. The delineator between these laws and sane laws is that red flag laws bypass trials and verdicts, and go straight to punishment. They are all unconstitutional.
I cant wait until someone takes red flag laws to the Supreme Court, and they get struck down en mass.
Yes it’s always a bit difficult to induce public servants to go to someone’s house for the purpose of talking them into handing over their firearms. Most any ten-year-old could explain why this is so, but it seems to be a challenging concept for politicians of a certain stripe.
I have a domino of questions.............
I have a domino and will raise you a bordello full. Brainless, illiterate twit.
In an Orwellian deep blue sanctuary city it is illegal immigrants that get protection NOT The Constitution.
Oh, jeez - she’s a ‘Pubbie.
