Pittsburgh, November 6, 1998

Do you want to lay money on the list of signatories being roughly the same?

President Clinton was guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. This wasn’t debatable. He literally lied under oath and attempted to interfere with witness testimony. He lost his law license over it.

Regardless, the US Senate determined these crimes—again Clinton was totally guilty—didn’t rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. One can argue over the wisdom of that decision, but it’s clear that impeachment should only be a last resort when the crimes are so egregious that BOTH parties agree the president must be impeached.

Probably many of the sale lawyers on both lists.

Lawyers can be such sluts.

Nice catch! That’s worth it’s own thread to compare the lists.

Nanzi Pelosi has flipped stance too:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pelosi-once-said-during-gop-paralyzed-by-hatred-during-clinton-impeachment

When then-President Bill Clinton was being impeached in 1998, she accused Republicans of impeaching with “vengeance” and being “paralyzed with hatred” of the Democratic president.

“Today the Republican majority is not judging the president with fairness, but impeaching him with a vengeance,” then-House Minority Leader Pelosi declared in December 1998.

She continued, “In the investigation of the president, fundamental principles which Americans hold dear – fairness, privacy, checks and balances – have been seriously violated, and why? Because we are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton. ... Until the Republicans free themselves of that hatred, our country will suffer.”

On Thursday, she snapped at Sinclair’s James Rosen – a former Fox News correspondent – when he asked if she hates Trump. The sharp moment came at a press conference when Pelosi announced that the president’s conduct in relation to Ukraine “leaves us no choice but to act” and proceed with articles of impeachment.

“As a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone. I was raised in a way that is a heart full of love and always pray for the president. And I still pray for the president. And I pray for the president all the time, so don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that,” Pelosi told Rosen.

It is remarkable that the opinions of these ideologues are based on false narrative.
They have not investigated the actual incidents by examining both sides of the controversy.
They have simply accepted as wholecloth a particularly biased and twisted version of events not reconcilable by actual events.
They have not read the transcript.
They have not performed a timeline of events.
They have not looked at more than one very biased set of opinion.
In all they are uninformed and their opinion is worthless.
In such a matter of grave importance it is imperative that those in a position to render studied opinion do due diligence. These clearly opinionated operatives have not done so.

Google says there are 17080 law professors in the US, so finding 4-500 to sign anything should be easy.
