What’s the catch? Always a catch with a POS like Clyburn.

He must really think the DEMs will retake the White House soon. Whether “soon” is 2021 or 2025, he may be right.

After this immoral illegal fiasco he is worried about retaliation when it is their turn.

Well, no. We need the mechanism of impeachment. We just don’t need to have it abused by deranged psychos.

gotta be a catch if he proposes it
but
given what a sh+tty job Congress has made of its phony “impeachment”.. with 24/7 lies innuendos and smears
(and what a rotten job Congress is doing representing us on so many other matters)
and given how downright corrupt so much of what Congress does, is nowadays
I’d say Congress itself should be closed down, not just its impeachment responsiblity

He is afraid that if Republicans take the House and Senate. House Democrats are the next impeachment target

To do that, we would have to go to a constitutional convention and god help us if that happened.

They are.
Every new president will be.
The corrupt house has corrupted the Impeachment Clause.
There’s no going back, and it’s going to get worse.

Good luck with it!
It takes a two-thirds vote in BOTH houses and ratification by three fourths if the states to change the Constitution.
Another Democrat wet dream.

Impeachment has always been a strictly partisan political action. Nixon came closest to being bipartisan. Congress cannot use it as the founders intended. Might as well amend the Constitution to remove it altogether.

I think we're around a decade away from the Tipping Point.
I do think there's a danger that by 2024 the country will have become too socially liberal to accept Pence as POTUS.

We have a winner. They dont want the GOP to be able to pull this BS in a dystopian future when there is another rat President.

It would be a Froot Loop convention if the Dems could get us there.
