UPDATE 11:50 a.m. The shooting suspect at NAS Pensacola was an aviation student from Saudi Arabia, the Associated Press is reporting.
The AP is reporting that authorities are investigating if the shooting was terrorism-related.

Foreign military vitiation students also have a bad habit of disappearing off base. Now we have dead US citizens. Why this program is still active is ridiculous. Shut down all student visas, H1Bs and bringing in out enemies for training and one way sharing of military secrets.

Below is a news link which includes information about Saudi reactions and the guy’s name. Also training their pilots when they buy our planes goes with the territory. After all, our military hardware manufacturers are paying our Congress critters to maintain good relations with our buying “friends.” In fact there was a recent dust-up because Turkey replaced one of their military systems with Russian equipment instead of ours. This raises questions about compatibility with NATO.
He was a m-muslim? Well that’s weird. What a strange stack of anomalies this seems. Now would be a good time to repeat in a halting monotone voice with a vacant stare “all cultures are equal”. I’m sure everything is fine and it’s safe to send your children to transvestite story time at public school. It’s a gun free zone.
Did you forget your sarcasm tag, or do you really not know that several Saudi’s came in on visas and studied at private aviation schools in 2001. In retrospect people who knew them wondered why they had little interest in learning to land. Of course with a suicide mission to crash into the WOrld Trade Center, the Pentagon, and probably the Capitol there was no need to learn to land.
I don’t think Jimmy Carter gave the Shah the cancer that killed him, or caused the Shah to leave Iran in search of treatment. What caused our people to be captured as hostages was the fact that we let him into this country for medical treatment.
On the subject of “defectives” because of restrictions on women, they have few opportunities to meet prospective husbands outside the extended family. Thus first and second cousin marriages, throughout fundamentalist Islamic countries, are probably a significant cause of birth defects and mental and intelligence issues.
