Nadler: Trump ‘Committed Impeachable Offenses’ that ‘Threaten the Survival of Democracy Itself’
Breitbart ^ | 12/04/2019 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 12/05/2019 7:19:50 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) stated that President Trump’s actions meet the three-part test for impeachment that Nadler talked about in the past and argued that President Trump’s actions “threaten the survival of democracy itself and the integrity of free elections.”

Nadler said, “[T]his situation meets all three tests. The president committed impeachable offenses. They were important impeachable offenses. They go to the heart of our constitutional republic. They threaten the survival of democracy itself and the integrity of free elections. And the majority of the people, and of the House, I believe, understand that. Those are the three tests.”

“....and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands.....” NOT “....and to the democracy for which it stands....” Dumbasses. CONgress. Turning dumbasses into buh-zillionaires (princess screeching owls name for big bucks) for decades.

The impeachment vote -- controlled totally by the Democrat/Left Party -- is going to come down to whether House Democrats from Trump districts value the secular religious tenets of Leftism (which many Democrats truly don't share) and the Democrat/Left Party's deep hatred of the President, over their own interests (e.g., power and position which they worked hard to achieve).

I wouldn't place a bet, but I still don't think impeachment is a "done deal" ... at least not yet.

The Dems will vote to impeach, the Senate will find President Trump not guilty, and the low information voters will have forgotten all about it by next November.

the hyperbolic squealing is a big part of their problem. no one that didn’t lose their mind ante-mueller thinks that DJT is going to extinguish the light of american democracy in the next few weeks unless he is physically stopped from doing so.

they’ve long since passed the hysteria stage; if a person was doing what the democrat party has been up to for the past 3 years, they would slap that person in the booby hatch before he hurt someone.

1. He looked a little too closely at Democrat corruption. 2. He talked about it. 3. He didn’t apologize.

Change "Democrat" to "Government" and you win.

I think Pelosi is going ahead full bore because she has the votes in the house (some Dems think the senate will not convict so they are safe to vote for impeach). I also think Pelosi has it worked out with Romney and other RINOs in the senate to not show for the trial vote, saying it’s all BS or something like that. Then the rule is they need a simple majority of those present in the senate. McConnell may also be in on it. She would not be doing this unless she is sure he will be removed. Just my opinion. Barr needs to get busier because the insurance policy is playing out.

think it’s funny.

This whole thing is starting to remind me of that scene in Rain Man, where Cruize tries to get Hoffman to board an airplane.

It starts with “uh oh.”, and ends with absolute hysterics. And this week is the ramp to the airplane called the IG report.

i.e. it’s gonna get worse. :)

There now needs to be a new word when mere “exaggeration” and “overstatement” do not offer the strength of just how far off base are someone’s comments.

To help explain what is coming out of the mouths of people like Schiff, Pelosi and Nadler lately, we need a one word expression for the sum of:

erroneous, false, inaccurate, incorrect, inexact, invalid, off, unsound, untrue, untruthful, wrong, counterfactual, specious, spurious, deceptive, delusive, delusory, distorted, fallacious, fictitious, illusory, misleading, amiss, askew, awry, dishonest, fraudulent, mendacious, unproven, untested, fabricated, invented, made-up, trumped-up

I thought they were going to impeach Pence too, and make Pelosi president. What happened to that?

They just may remember that Democrats tried to overturn an election. Some of them may not take too kindly to that.

I know personally a fair number of people that voted for Obama, who have been repulsed by the way Democrats have acted since the election. Not just towards Trump himself, but the nastiness towards Trump supporters, unfairness with Kavanaugh, etc.. They don't like Trump, but they're voting for him in November because of how the Democrats have behaved.

-- Has anyone described these "impeachable offenses" yet. --

Sure, but the descriptions don't bear any resemblance to reality.

Trump is using the power of the presidency to cause foreign interference in US elections.

Just take Noah Feldman's opening statement. Those are the accusations.

Noah Feldman Opening Statement

President Trump has committed impeachable high crimes and misdemeanors by corruptly abusing the office of the presidency. Specifically, President Trump abused his office by corruptly soliciting President Volodymyr Zelensky to announce investigations of his political rivals in order to gain personal advantage, including in the 2020 presidential election.

Nothing funnier than a Liberal pretending to support the Constitution with arguments that are not part of the Constitution.

Of course this all goes back to FDR, maybe even further.

-- I wouldn't place a bet, but I still don't think impeachment is a "done deal" --

Other than the Nixon case, the House has never drafted articles of impeachment, and NOT sent them to the Senate.

The DEMs have concluded that Trump has committed an impeachable act. They either follow through, or lose face.
