The Dems will take exactly as much as the GOP gives them. The GOP could be returning fire. They are not. So the Dems escalate and escalate. It seems the Dems and GOP have a gentleman’s agreement: while Trump is in the WH the Dems are free to do anything against him.
The Republican Party, the elected members, has arrived at a crossroads - one they have ignored studiously, turning their backs as if they didn’t look at it, it wouldn’t be there.
This is now the war they never wanted. War they ill-prepared to wage, war they can’t get their cloistered minds around. War that was declared by that Karlan thing and her mates. War that the Democrats insist on.
But it is war and Boy Scouts are useless and irrelevant. Now, only soldiers have value. The Republicans have no idea of the anger that boils almost over out here in the country. The Democrats know it is there, and they stoke it, how the Republicans can miss it in inexplicable except that their heads are deeply imbedded in the sand. That’s not unusual at the outset of real war. Look at the French before WW2, look at the British then.
War is here. If the Republicans keep their heads in the sand, they will simply be run over and cease to exist. Only fighters will remain. Political maneuver is quickly becoming superfluous. Because it is time to kill the enemy. They’d better see it. Today not tomorrow.
By not considering more than 100 bills sent by the House to the Senate, the GOP is ensuring that they, the President and Dems will not have much of a record to run on. Who does that help and who does that hurt?
