Fifty years after Stonewall, LGBT people who listen to a song, stream a series or read a book have more positive images to draw upon than ever before.
But where are our faces in the ads that sell us those things or, for that matter, pretty much everything? Rarely seen is the same-sex couple sizing up choices at a car dealership, passing around a tube of toothpaste during their morning routine or sharing a smooch as anniversary rings are exchanged.
Theres just a very small group of companies that make an effort to educate themselves and to progress to show us as we are, or appeal directly to the LGBT consumer, says Todd Evans of Rivendell Media.
...
Include Target on that list, says Evans, who points to the general merchandise retailer as an example of a company committed to LGBT-specific marketing and products.

That TGI Friday ad is ugly.
More lies. You can’t turn the tv on without being assaulted with same sex couples. Last Christmas, a significant percent of commercials across the board had same same sex couples. Walmart beat Target with two lesbians buying toys for their son last year and there was the two dads ooing over their son and Spaghetti-os and all the same sex couples giving jewelry like that one company that sells charm bracelets. Transitions sunglasses has a person in all their commercials that could go either way, hence the “transitions”. This Christmas, there’s Amazon’s two in support of trans, Ulta cosmetics has a guy meticulously applying makeup, some medical drugs (one with two guys teasing on the couch), TGI Fridays changed their red and white striped banner to a rainbow, and there’s one commercial (never have figured out what they’re selling) with a son telling his father he started his period and one man asking another for a tampon and the list goes on. Lifetime Channel now has several Christmas movies with gays as central figures.
The Sonic characters have mentioned a wife and gf.
I haven’t been to Target since 2006 due to their cheaply made clothing that wouldn’t last through the first washing but their bathroom thing just reinforces we made the right choice to never darken their doors.
He/she/it should go to Lifetime to watch those movies. So far, Hallmark is the only channel left that doesn’t have wall to wall gays.
Dred Scott was not overturned. It's holding that Scott could not be freed because he traveled to a free state, is absolutely correct given the law of that time period. The Courts did not overturn it, the Congress passed the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments which were subsequently "ratified" by the states, albeit illegally.
The Dred Scott decision was rendered null and void by an Amendment.
I suspect that there are so many people on the Left who, while not LBGTQ themselves, support their 'rights' that Target and others dare not alienate this larger group.
The only reason, and i'm telling you this is the only reason why modern corporations are chasing after this class of nasty perverts is because all the high elite "society" folk have embraced this sh*t, and now you are not considered "enlightened" unless you accept F@ggots and their sick sex practices.
You may not know this, but there is a literal "Homosexual review board" for all Hollywood scripts for movies and television shows. All scripts must be approved by this collection of @ueers. Writers started tailoring scrips to add more @ueers to TV shows and movies, and the propaganda effects have started convincing the normal folk that these weirdos are much more common than they really are. A study a few years back revealed that most young people believed homosexuals made up about 25% of the population, which is off by a factor of 10 at least.
Embracing the @ueers is just the latest version of "virtue signaling" for the elite social set and their wealthy culture. The businesses they own are simply ordered to follow along with this latest fad.
When you think about it, Hollywood is probably 30-40% gay...The media really pushes LGBT sh!t....
Advertising, media and entertainment combined is probably 30% gay...
They don’t give a crap what normal people think or care what is in the ads...They know that no matter what, things will be purchased...
Dred Scott was not overturned
A lawyer friend of mine has admonished me for pontificating about legal matters of which I know little or nothing. I stand corrected, and hope I will one day learn. The point, of course, is SCOUS doesnt always get it right.
“...Maybe both Chick-fil-a and Target have worked the numbers and found the Left brings more business....”
Nothing would be a surprise these days since it’s all about getting the “Benjamins”. Heck, it’s even possible at this point that we could see “Chick-be-trade” now opening on Sundays and having an outlet right inside Target.
Small percent but holding major seats of power and hostile to anyone who disagrees with them
DINKs dual income no kids
There is an Amazon commercial currently running set to the tune of “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love.” It shows various people overjoyed to see one another. At one point, there is a woman standing in an airport terminal waiting for someone, when another woman comes running down the aisle, leaps into her arms, and gives her a passionate kiss full on the lips.
They are much worse at it since Roosevelt and Truman had nearly 20 years to appoint the entire Federal Judiciary. Nowadays the Federal courts are so full of loons, they often issue ridiculous rulings.
It wasn't so common prior to Roosevelt.
Target’s LGBTXYWK stance finished them for me. Haven’t been in a Target store in ages. One exception, to buy a Consumer Cellular SIM card for my phone.
Make that with other people's money. I have a very long ban list I easily stick by 99% of the time. About the only exception is Wally World which is almost unavoidable out here in Podunkville.
Yes, the wife is black, so they must be pushing mixed racial marriage. Is this needed in an advert for pills?
So, where do women over 10 years old go? Do they have to use the Men's room?
