People aren’t stealing millions anymore. they’re stealing billions.
To people like the Clinton’s money is useless because their every expense from private jets to five star hotels, chauffeured limos and gourmet dining with only the best wine and booze is all paid for by other peoples (our) money - either directly or by some crony who wants access to our money or national wealth.
Chelsea Clinton was not exaggerating in the least when she said she could not be bothered to care about money. How could she when it is a point of personal priority for Bill and Hillary that their every whim be paid for by someone else. Chels may never have ever seen her parents actually pay for anything. Case in point - the Clintons lease out their guest house for their NY mansion for a rent that not only covers the house payments, it covers all house related expenses with enough left over to provide the Clintons with a very tidy income as profit.
Good old Maddy Albright is another case of living large on the peoples cash - she travelled constantly and it’s no exaggeration that she had an advance team that monopolized the top tier 5 Star accommodations and elite catered food service while in town
This is especially true in Socialist Europe where pols and government “public servants” receive very modest salaries but live the lifestyle of the rich and famous on lavish expense accounts, bribes/graft and all expense paid sponsored events
