It has baffled me for years how cities and states have been able to deny our Second Amendment civil rights. Try pulling that routine on a racial civil right and see how far you get.
The Second Amendment should be sacrosanct. It should be as respected as ANY other amendment.

The 2nd amendment does not confer a “right” to the people.
The 2nd prohibits the Goober-mint from trampling on your G-d given rights.
