Too bad. I hope this district has another conservative they can run who has some chance of winning.
I admit to knowing nothing about this case, but we dont need corruption in the GOP anymore than we need it in the other party. Maybe this is a frame up, but I find the excuse of not wanting to put his children through a trial to be a pretty lame excuse. Seems if he was innocent, he would put up a fight.

This plea greatly increases the chances that this district stays Republican. Duncan Hunter alone among possible Republican candidates might have lost, no one else possibly can.
Could be one of those “six ways to Sunday” things.
They always seem to find a way of getting rid of people who side with the citizens and the rule of law.
In my district the Bush League Republicans teamed up with the Democrats to get rid of Dave Brat and replace him with a CIA drone in a D jersey.
Blackmail and/or threats from the deep state can make a situation look very different from what the reality is.
What the deep state never understands is that their first victims are themselves.
Hunter is a White Hat, from what I remember when I was living in California.
He is pro military in the extreme. I have not followed the case, but, I’m pretty confident that we don’t want to lose him.
And my faith in any California official or Fed is right up there with my trust in Pencil Neck and ScatFranNan.
So, Rep Hunter has more credibility from the jump.
