IF he’s going to base this all on the golden rule then I would only say I don’t want others taking my money and I will refrain from taking theirs.
There is tremendous arrogance in a politician sitting in an office and deciding that the Golden Rule entitles him to steal from Peter to pay Paul because the politician believes that Paul just ought to have more.
The Bible is not a book about economics. It’s a book about doing God’s will. Taking Peters stuff isn’t one of the commandments.
As a communist, he lives by a different Golden Rule: “He who has the gold, rules.”
And he wants the government to have all the gold.
