It’s not a fair comparison just as it isn’t with Reagan. Different times with different norms and issues. A different mindset with the people and an entirely different dem party on the edge of wanting socialism. That’s not something this country has ever seen.

Plus the Internet has a profound effect on the speed of information and interactive forums which the previous (good) Presidents didn’t have to contend with. Trump is a master at using the Internet as a tool. Most people who get to his level are fairly clueless. They usually have other people handle that kind of stuff.

I personally think Trump will be the shining light for all future (good) Presidents to aspire to but in their own way of course.

I’ll sum it up in two words: “Fight Back”

In the meantime, I think we can fit his face on Mount Rushmore...and Reagan’s as well.

Brion McClanahan’s book “Nine Presidents Who Screwed Up America—And Four Who Tried to Save Her” presents the best methodology I’ve ever seen in evaluating the performance of Presidents: Did they uphold their oath to support and defend the Constitution? Does anyone here think the Trump administration’s “bump stock ban” is supporting and defending the Constitution? I don’t. Does anyone here think it’s supporting and defending the Constitution to sign a bill into law that says it’s ok to use federal funds to pay for some abortions? I don’t. Trump has done that.
