Gohmert: Calling Hunter Biden as a Witness ‘More of a Sideshow’
Breitbart ^ | 30 Nov 2019 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 11/30/2019 8:58:51 AM PST by conservative98

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” House Judiciary Committee member Louie Gohmert (R-TX) stated that calling Hunter Biden as a witness is “more of a sideshow.”

According to Gohmert, that was because Hunter Biden didn’t hold a government position.

Gohmert called for the whistleblower, former NSC employee Abigail Grace, and former NSC employee Sean Misko to be called as witnesses.

Host Ed Henry then asked Gohmert about calling Hunter Biden as a witness.

Gohmert responded, “That’s more of a sideshow. Because the real corruption is not with Hunter Biden. He wasn’t in a position of — a government position. The question is Joe Biden.”

Levin disagrees.

Of course, the Senate MUST subpoena the so-called whistleblower and Hunter Bidenhttps://t.co/nylzbmfcsT— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) November 24, 2019

Hunter Biden is a witness to and a benefactor of his father’s corruption.

Hunter Biden is now unemployed.

If anyone knows of a corrupt country that is in need of a no show employee with top political connections for pulling strings in the US, Please contact Hunter.

Pay for the no show job should exceed a million a year.

This is one of the stupidest remarks in a long line of Republican stupid remarks. Someone should explain to Louie Einstein that the way to Joe Biden is through Hunter Biden and the way to Barack Obama is through Joe Biden. With friends like Louie ..... Very disappointing.

That is the most important thing in this. It may not be Ukraine, but many of those in the house and senate...and other governmental and connected positions out of government have these connections, and Hunter Biden’s graft connection was just pointed out. Gohmert saying this means to me, he may have some too. Or cares about some who have been doing this and he knows Hunter is the tip of the iceberg and they know this may not end well if they start on Biden.

“The question is Joe Biden.”

Straight to the heart of the matter.

“ Hunter Biden is a witness to and a benefactor of his father’s corruption.”

It’s a very high government position, actually.

Makes one wonder who in the GOP is NOT in collusion with this.

Jordan, Gaetz, Meadows, um... Nunes, oh, Trump.

I think that’s about it. A senate impeachment hearing would be a worse circus of whom can we avoid putting on the stand

I would not ascribe ‘stupid’ to this

GOP basks in their reputation of being ‘stupid’ and/or ‘gutless’.

Keeps them out of the majority where they enjoy raking in the dough Hunter Biden style.

I believe ‘involved in this corruption up to their eyeballs’ is a more apt characterization

“... Hunter is the tip of the iceberg and they know this may not end well...”

It will not end well. Trump is merciless about it, too. This is the main cause of Trump Derangement Syndrome

Sounds to me that Gomert is worried about something, perhaps something in his family?

With friends like Louie

Uh I think you are wrong here. I heard him live. He did not excuse Hunter. He just reminded everyone that the corrupt official is not Hunter - it's old Joe hisself.

Does Gohment REALLY think that the kick-back money was Hunter’s to keep? Hunter was merely the strawman, the alter ego, of a few individuals in government. No doubt he works on commission.

Sometimes you have to be cruel. To rescue the American people from this corrupt cabal there can be no mercy shown to the guilty, justice will suffice.

Hunter is Joe’s bagman. As is Joe’s brother.

This has been true since Joe was senator. He always bragged that he had no money, but meanwhile his son and brother became millionaires. Hunter was “lobbyist” making millions per year, and his brother was hand-delivered federal contracts.

When Joe became VP, someone decided that Hunter as “lobbyist” didn’t look good, so they rebranded him as a rookie “stock broker” also for millions per year.

While they’re at it, they could take a look at the Biden Foundation, which took in millions and didn’t pay out anything.

Family members as “lobbyist” is an old tried-and-true strategy. I remember Harry Reid’s deal was, you want to talk to him, you write one of his sons a six figure check. If you really want his attention, write both of his sons a six-figure check.

I remember Tom Daschle, senate majority leader at one time, whose wife was a lobbyist. She said, its fine, perfectly legal since she doesn’t lobby her husband, only congressmen.
