The big irony there is that it should have clued people in is that when accords or treaties are proposed they ALWAYS preclude the US offsetting emissions by tree planting, sequestration, etc... it’s never been about the planet, it’s been about getting the planets resident badasses (us) to cede our lofty perch to mediocrity and repression.

Here in MA (where there’s relatively little sunshine) the woods and forests are being clear cut to put up solar panel farms.
