The Pittsburgh Steelers will start Devlin Hodges, who made waves earlier this season with his outspoken support of President Trump, at quarterback Sunday as they take on the Cleveland Browns, more than two weeks after a helmet-swinging melee that shook the NFL, coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday.
While Hodges may have been ecstatic about getting the start, he quickly became the target of social media trolls who resurfaced his past tweets – mostly about President Trump. The Samford product was caught deleting the tweets about Trump, but Twitter users saved the receipts.

Agreed! DON’T delete the tweets, that shows weakness. Stand up and don’t be afraid to tell the rabid Left what you think and believe.
Well, we definitely don’t want Garrett out there. You must be happy. Browns are finally playing up to their hype.
Easy for us to say when Coach Tomlin is a rabid Hillary fanboy! Anyway, I think I will tune into my first Steelers game in years to root for Mr. Hodges.

Somebody in the Steelers front office told him to delete the tweets. I’d bet my next 3 paychecks on that. The Rooney Family is a functioning bolt-on component of the Democrat Party.
Oh the humanity, supporting Trump is worse than kneeling and disrespecting our country, our flag, our LEO’s and our service members.
I’m surprised that the NFL’s “Rooney Rule” hasn’t been amended to include fudge packers.
I am dubious of that. That does not sound like the Rooneys, even though Dan was an ambassador under Obozo.
I think it’s more likely that his agent directed him to do so.

Eh, it’s really not a big deal to me. I was a rabid fan growing up. Kardiac Kids, Dawg Pound, Bernie Kosar… all that.
Then, the NFL taught me a lesson, they took “our” team. They taught me it’s a business, nothing more, with no particular roots or loyalties. When they came back, I was a little excited, not like the old days, but I wanted to give them a chance, that’s why the screen name “brownsfan”. Well, 20 years of the most miserable football and mismanagement that anyone could imagine, and this brownsfan is more of a curious observer.
Go Buckeyes! (They won’t move to Maryland).
I hear you. I am one of the rare fans that rooted for other AFC Central teams if the Steelers were out of it. So I rooted for the Browns through the two heartbreak losses to the Broncos. I think one of those Browns teams would have won a Super Bowl.
Then, you’re right, Art Modell ruined it all. Really hasn’t been the same.
