Seems like an obvious admission of guilt- as such we can’t have corrupt organization- either transparency or no organization seems like a good ultimatum
Could it be that Wheeler found a legal or scientific defect in his predecessor’s version — one that would have caused problems in court — and decided to start over?
Nah- just get rid of the useless oppressive organization altogether-

I suspect the EPA has been quite the kickback machine as follows:
Pick a chemical, such as NaCl.
Have one million dollar budget to study it.
Award the contract to your friends.
Pajama boy types an official looking report saying how dangerous it is. Takes about an hour. Note, no actual lab analysis is performed.
Chemical is sorely restricted if not banned outright.
Repeat.
I’m still ticked that Trump allowed the deep state to take Pruitt with a bunch of chicken sh*t charges. He was well on the way to fixing the EPA. We ended up with a spineless replacement.

The good news, if there is any, is that Wheeler is an Eagle Scout compared to his ethically challenged predecessor, Scott Pruitt. The bad news is, as predicted, Wheeler has been more effective than Pruitt in rolling back and eliminating EPA safeguards.
My organization, the Union of Concerned Scientists, has compiled a list of 80 Trump administration attacks on science since taking office, and Wheeler has been the driving force behind many of them. Below are 10 of the more egregious ways he has undermined the EPA’s time-honored role to protect public health and the environment so far.

Former EPA Director Scott Pruitt was the only consequential Conservative in the Trump Administration.
When the MSM, Deep State, and the Democrat Party decided to destroy Pruitt, Trump did not raise a finger to stop them.

That claim is total crap.
The Association of Republican State Attorney Generals - which includes every GOP AG in the country - elected Pruitt as their President two terms in a row.
But suddenly, when Pruitt gets to Washington D.C., he is hit by a landslide of ethics complaints from the Criminal Left.
The “bad news” is that no consequential Conservative will ever risk his reputation and his life savings to work for Donald Trump again.
Nixon started it and Trump should end it.
That's exactly what the Left has been trying to do, and they are succeeding. Conservatives generally have it good in the private sector. Why give it up to take those arrows? And the Left knows that and uses it to their advantage. Which is precisely why this country is doomed to go the way of The Weimar Republic.
