Slick Willie was elected because of Ross Perot.
Yes he was.
Yes, Slick Willie was elected because of Perot. But Perot ran because he knew only too well the truly malignant nature of Pappy Bush, who Perot could not abide as president. Perot was a misguided patriot who was, himself, a shaky figure. To our national chagrin, we all discovered what depravity Slick Willie was capable of. This benighted country has been cursed politically for generations.
I'm not so sure. It could also be that he split the voters who wanted change. If true, that would have given Bush the edge.
Given what we've seen from the Bushes since President Trump was elected, I know who I blame for Clinton getting elected.
Yep - Ross saw his opportunity and shat upon out opportunity to make BJ a one-termer.
“Slick Willie was elected because of Ross Perot.”
I agree that Perot didn’t help Bush, but Slick 50 was elected because Bush Sr. thought it ‘below the office’ to fight back when attacked. In fact, the only time I saw him actually come out swinging was when he was attacked because of the fact that he hates broccoli. It actually showed that he could snap-back at the Left, but he only used that skill once in his presidency
Ross Perot was supported by gullible purists that valued their own narrow interests more than America.
Slick Willie was elected because of Ross Perot.
Perot only had traction at all because Read My Lips was such a poor POTUS. Therefore, Slick Willie was elected because of Bush. Regardless, history (SCOTUS, etc.) shows us there wasn’t a dime bit of difference between Bush and Clinton.
