Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
I was not pleased with the way that Navy Seal Eddie Gallaghers trial was handled by the Navy. He was treated very badly but, despite this, was completely exonerated on all major charges. I then restored Eddies rank. Likewise, large cost overruns from past administrations.....

And 3 CHEERS to Gallagher’s wife for standing by him throughout this entire charade.
Yep! He blames his conscience for being fired. Because he had a lot of choice in the matter.
He lied to the SecDef and was telling the press he would ignore the CinC. And then he has the GALL to claim he was defying the chain of command to maintain good order and discipline in the military!
What a POS!
Best!
Commander in Chief!
Since George Washington!
MAGA!!!
Good!
You missed something.
No, Gallagher said on F&F this morning he is retiring. He gave no indication that he was being forced out.
From Stars and Stripes today:
Trump reinstated Gallaghers rank after the SEAL was demoted as punishment for posing for [a] photograph with [a] corpse. As a result of the actions during the past few days, Hoffman said, Esper has decided to let Gallagher keep it.
Keep his rank and not the corpse, I would surmise.
I saw Gallagher on the tube briefly this morning shouting past the cameras and media shills to the effect that he would be back at work tomorrow (Monday) and that he was glad the troubles were behind him.
I think Gallagher got what HE wanted, unless I missed something.
They must be stopped.
What happened to the Admiral?
He also goes by the name: Richard Thistle :)
A lot of senior leaders and representatives have enriched themselves and benefited from their positions of "service".
The Navy has had serious cost overruns and failed projects, but being the ObamaButts they were they focused significant effort on immaterial things.
It might wise for all Mr Weeds relatives to retire. LOL
He was under Bammy. Seems Swampy.
There was some kerfluffle about the Defense budget at the end of his time on the Defense Business Board.
Chief Gallagher had no choice but to retire, and even if he did, he would likely choose to do so. I am glad to see him retire with both his Trident AND his Anchors. He earned both, and he should enjoy the respect they bring. Too bad he can't retire as a Senior Chief, as he was selected and was due to be promoted when when he was Court Martialed.
A fired idiot.
Next up Rear Adm Green.
The Navy's Senior Enlisted Continuation Board is convening on 9 December to review the records of all E7-E9 sailors over 19 years service. Having served on these boards, I can tell you Chief Gallagher would NOT be selected to "continue service". But seeing as he is approved for transfer to Fleet Reserve, his service will not be reviewed.
While I don't know Chief Gallagher, I suspect he would retire anyway at this point. He has many enemies, including some at the highest levels of Naval Special Warfare. Considering his "celebrity", I'm not sure they would even deploy him.
Thank you, Mr President.
Now demote Admiral Green to Cook Second Class.
