There’s nothing wrong with aggressively going into the Black community and asking for their support. The Republicans have mostly written them off and don’t bother, and guess how that turns out ? Sitting on our hands with our thumbs up our butt while the Demonrats take these votes uncontested is how we end up with California or (now) Virginia.

Most unmarried women favor their honey daddy government. Statistics confirm that, on a percent basis, unmarried black women far exceed unmarried white women.

"Believe it or not, this is part of the problem. Not the desire to get black votes, but this entire approach to getting them."

What approach ? There's been no approach. For decades, it has been nothing but lip service. The GOP has been the textbook definition of AWOL when it has come to the Black community. Even in the instances where the party has recruited Black candidates, they'll say, "Look, we've nominated a Black candidate !" but give them almost no financial support or GOTV efforts. You can't win without that unless under extraordinary efforts by the candidate.

“The Democrats are the real racists!” Okay, blacks vote ~90% democrat. So I guess most blacks are racist, right?"

Many indeed are. The Demonrats foment this and exploit the worst of their instincts. The Republicans do next to nothing to address and change this. This inaction serves to underscore their beliefs.

"Oops, of course not. No, they’re victims! They’re held hostage on the Democratic plantation!"

They're both. These conclusions aren't mutually exclusive.

"By who? Latinos and asians, who also vote heavily Democrat, if not nearly to the same extreme?"

Latinos and Asians are not uniform in their voting habits and break down into different groups and their reasonings are different. With respect to Black voters, the reasonings and pathologies differ from those other groups.

"No, no. We’re aiming for those votes too, so criticism won’t do. They also need rescuing! The Jews too!"

Groups that vote ignorantly against their interests should be targeted for conversion. With respect to Jewish voters, there are also two distinct groups. Ones that are pro-Israel, and many of those do vote Republican. The remainder are those that claim to be of the faith, but they in fact worship Socialism and are even openly hostile to Israel. Unless you can somehow persuade them to abandon their apostasies, that indeed would be a losing proposition, politically-speaking.

"So... it’s those ****ing white people!"

Quite a few of them are part of the problem, too. Those that have also been indoctrinated into the leftist hate as part of "Big Ed" over the decades and the SJWs, the fruits of that rotten tree.

"Maybe without even realizing it, those are the terms on which the GOP pursues black votes now, and the terms on which its base are expected to frame the situation. That very victim mentality you no doubt decry in other contexts, you tacitly endorse *here*."

As I said above, the Republicans AREN'T pursuing those votes for a number of reasons. The party leadership has been stagnant for decades and seems quite fine and dandy with the situation. They treat it like a country club with dwindling and aging members. No wonder they reacted with horror when outsiders like Trump dare come in and decide that things not only have to change, but MUST change.

"Do you see why this may not be a good idea? To defeat the “Stalinist Slave Plantation”, you’ve taken up its worst assumptions and even policy justifications. And it’s *still* failing."

I make no assumptions. I draw conclusions based on decades of observations and noting the results. What is clear is that the prior "approach" doesn't work. To keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. I'm all for exploring every possible approach that can actually be called an "approach."

"This approach we’re using now, which is “Hey look! We got a rapper who hates Trump out of an overseas prison! Haha he didn’t even thank us but that’s okay. Woah hey, we just released a ton of blacks from prison early! All they did was sell drugs, that’s not so bad! It was racist to put you in there. Woah you still voted overwhelmingly for Democrats but that’s fine too, we sure you vote for Trump though ha ha. Fingers crossed my homies!”

That's Trump's call to make. Does it move the needle ? Maybe, maybe not. Prison/criminal justice reform is an issue of concern in the Black community. The Dems had years to address it, as they claim to be so "concerned", yet did nothing. Even hard-core Dem partisans will have to admit Trump has done more than his predecessor. Again, at least Trump is doing something, and notice is being taken.

"In other words, the very approach you’ve been defending. And then excusing when it’s been pointed out that it hasn’t accomplished anything, and in fact has made things worse."

There's no single approach. How do you conclude this particular action has made things "worse" ?

"Yet the overtures towards black *is* exclusive. It involves suppressing any criticism of blacks - and frankly, of anyone else who isn’t white, out of fear of offense."

I disagree. Speaking the truth is important. Speaking at all to the Black community, as I pointed out, has been a problem for the GOP. They don't bother to engage, and it's no surprise when they get hardly any of their votes. We need people out there every day pushing the message, not just come election time. They're not there, and that has to change.

"Openly talk about the anti-white resentment expressed in the media, in the universities, and enshrined into law. And when there’s a collective scream of fury that these are “white nationalist talking points”, double down and say it’s OK to be white, and there’s no place in this country for anyone who hates white people - or black people, or asians, or anyone else."

You're not incorrect, but that's related to another key issue that has to do with our out-of-control education system, media and rotted culture. Although it is partly related, obviously.

"That’s one hell of a lot better than trying to bribe blacks to vote for Republican by bragging about how you sprung so many drug dealers out of prison early."

I'm talking about going out there and pointing out that Trump has reduced unemployment in the Black community to the lowest point since they started keeping records. In doing so, that lowers the welfare rate. A key issue is restoration of the Black family, which was obliterated by the Demonrats and their welfare state policies, all done to buy votes. There has to be activists out there on a daily basis preaching that message of empowerment, self-reliance, restoration of family, importance of fathers and on and on, who remind the voters which party is better for them in the long run and which prefers to keep the status quo of perpetually aggrieved, perpetually impoverished, perpetually on welfare, perpetually in prison, perpetually in misery. The Demonrats MUST keep Blacks that way or they lose a gargantuan voting bloc, and without them, cannot continue to push their anti-American, degenerate, Marxist agenda.

There are some on here that have dismissed me for even suggesting the possibility that Trump may have some black supporters.

This article says 34 percent approval among blacks. This is Emerson poll and a Rasmussen poll.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/trump-approval-among-blacks-above-34-percent-emerson-polls-shows_3155737.html

If three is any truth to these polls and if it holds, the democrats are in deep trouble. Even if blacks don’t vote for him but aren’t motivated to turn out and vote against him, it could be a big win.

I am happy to see more and more realizing that they owe nothing to the democrats.

"It’s not just Trump, it’s the GOP, it’s those idiots at TP USA, it’s that entire ‘Blexit’ movement. Oh, and ‘Prison Reform’ was literally a Democrat talking point. Black Democrats said outright that Trump just did what they wanted to do but couldn’t get passed because until-now GOP opposition."

And yet who did it ? The Sainted Zero didn't do squat on the issue. Trump did. That's been recognized.

"Well, lucky for the Democrats they don’t even need to take the senate and the presidency to pass laws they want. We’ll do it for them. Did wonders for us in Louisiana, eh?"

What did the Dems gain in Louisiana ? They reelected their marginal Governor who never ran as an unabashed leftist against a weak and elderly opponent who had never run a political campaign. The GOP won not only all their other offices, but increased their numbers in the legislature to the point of supermajorities.

"The complete lack of results in its aftermath, plus the efforts of the GOP and ‘mainstream’ conservatism tripping over itself to talk about what a good idea it is, complete with literally mimicking left-wing talking points about how those poor people were in prison unjustly and the system is biased against black people because of the evil white patriarchy in the US."

What "lack of results" ? We won't know until Trump himself is on the ballot to make that judgment.

"Speaking the truth is the one thing the GOP is avoiding on this issue, and that’s part of the problem. Trying to turn the GOP into the party that lets blacks out of prison early for dealing drugs, never talks positively about white people as a group for fears of ‘racism’ charges, and desperately tries to ignore the massive differences in black crime (or casts it as evidence of an unjust and racist system, a page right out of the left-wing playbook) is the opposite of truth, and it’s the path the GOP is taking. The GOP is completely afraid of speaking the truth about any of these things."

I already indicted the GOP on its lack of efforts. This is Trump trying his own personal approach. I don't disagree with some of the points you're making.

"Yeah, an incoherent message of ‘Self-reliance is key’ combined with ‘Your situation is terrible because of what other people did’, and to cap it off, making sure that the only possible ‘other people’ who could blamed are white people. A message furthered by saying how the disproportionate number of blacks in prison is due to a white racist country which is why all that prison time for *selling drugs* was a racist act of injustice."

As I said, I don't disagree with many of your points here.

"I’ve got an idea for a chaser: offer them reparations. Say you’ll pass a wealth tax and just cut them all a check."

Could, but it wouldn't work.

"After all, we have to try new things, and if one thing hasn’t been tried yet, it’s ‘shifting black off the black community itself and telling them voting for the right people can solve their problems’, right?"

Actually, it has been tried. Decades of welfare policies into the trillions. Epic disaster.

"By the by, while you’re hellbent on telling blacks that Detroit is terrible because of the Democrats, do you have any plans at all to increase the share of the white vote? Or - and this is key - do all the overtures towards non-whites, which pivot crucially on racial grievance claims, preclude any kind of direct acknowledgment and addressing of white people’s concerns, including pushing back hard against anti-white hatred?"

White folks are already voting at substantially higher levels for the GOP than they were in the '80s. However, there has been a fall-off for some middle to upper class types who seem to embrace the far-left SJW insanity. The GOP has become the party of the working class, and especially so under Trump.

"Because boy, if the strategy is to try and win votes from the most Democrat-loyal demographics in the US while ignoring or actively demonizing whites, directly or indirectly, then that would be an incredibly stupid moron move, now wouldn’t it?"

Who is suggesting demonizing Whites to earn GOP votes ?

Victims? Hostage?

No one is holding a gun to their heads to force them vote for the democrats. That terminology is bullsh*t.

“...Okay, blacks vote ~90% democrat. So I guess most blacks are racist, right?...”

Assuming you’re a white guy, go take a walk through my old North Philly neighborhood and let me know how that works out for you.
