BS- Esper is following Trump’s orders sparky. Where do you think Esper heard about this deal? When this Sec navy went to the White House with his shady deal of a sham hearing with a fixed outcome, the White House called SecDef Esper and told him to deal with his rogue corrupt subordinate.
SECNAV is appointed by POTUS and confirmed by the Senate. Esper did not request Spencer’s resignation without consulting the White House. It was likely Trump’s staff that contacted SECDEF about the backdoor negotiations.
