House impeachment proceedings have helped — not hurt — President Trump’s approval in the eyes of voters, and in the latest survey, his rating has turned positive thanks to a massive revolt against impeachment by independents.... support for impeachment is now negative, a finding that backs up other recent polling.
Trump is also beating or tied with every Democratic presidential candidate except Sen. Bernie Sanders in the new poll. Against Sanders, Trump is losing 49% to 50%, well within the margin of error.
Mr. President, We have your back.

I believe the senate should decline to prosecute. Kill this abomination in the name of fairness. The American people will thank them.
They get free TV coverage....opportunity to knock and debase Trump. And bring in people to support that Trump is a terrible unfit monster. You see they have nothing to lose by going ahead....Soros, Fisa, the whistle-blower, records etc. being exposed are pretty much already known....and they know it...and these are being investigated. So the only thing they have is to proceed taking the oxygen out out all the network stations and cntinue to stop anything Trump wants to do for this country. They will throw anyone of their own under their bus without blinking an eye doing so.....and the Ukraine investigation is surely going to reveal the depth the Dems have their paws in ukraines corruption.....
The Republicans will fight as if their own personal careers depend on it, because they do.

Ugh. I feel bad as I used to be defensive of her when she was first appointed. She wrote an interesting book about Putin, yet she and those of her ilk are just as...if not more slimy.

By fair I mean out of the complete control of the democrats. The constitution is a little more clear on what the trial is supposed to look like and I assume the Republican Senators will want to look magnanimous and show just how much they are like a regular court. They will have to give the President some amount of time to present a defense. That is what the democrats can't have. They don't want to give the President any time to present his case.
The trial will have better ratings than the hearing because we love TV shows about trials. Everyone gets to watch and judge. In a trial anything can happen. Yes there may be republican Senators working behind the scenes to hurt the President. But the Chief Justice could allow far ranging witnesses such as Strok or Page.
This is the problem with a trial, it's open ended, everyone gets their shot. Too much to control. You can't guarantee that it will go bad for President. So if you're a democrat in the house you say why do we need to take the chance? We have gotten all the mileage we are going to get. I can run campaign ads at how sneaky the President is, everyone knew he was doing wrong but he carefully worded things to the right people to avoid going to jail. He had that evil Rudy Guilliani do his dirty work for him so we couldn't catch him even though all our witnesses knew what he was up to. They just couldn't find the smoking gun.
If I were the democrats I'd make it a close vote. Then have the no voting democrats go on TV and trash the President and the Republicans in the Senate. How you weren't going to give them a forum so they could flaunt their corruption blah, blah, blah.

Even without any details of what a scumbag Hunter is, the case of Biden Family corruption is just so clear that any person can see that Hunter Biden peddled the influence of the Vice President of the United States for millions of dollars. No matter how hard the media tries, no one is going to see it differently. To the American public, it clearly looks corrupt, and being a presidential candidate does not give you some magical immunity.
