Embattled royal Prince Andrew announced Wednesday he was stepping back from public duties for the foreseeable future in the wake of a car crash of an interview about his longtime friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my familys work and the valuable work going on in many organizations and charities that I am proud to support, Andrew said in a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
Facing a wave of criticism, the Duke of York announced he had sought permission from the Queen to step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and went on to apologize to Epsteins victims.

Andrews life style is disgusting. He has been known for what he is for quite some time. Now all of a sudden he is on trial, which is good, but my question is why is a European getting our anger when apparently we have
countless of these people in congress, senate and in government?
He is attracting attention because of his position not his deed. Clinton was doing the same thing but we dont ever mention him.
Oh, eeewww.
The Royals get paid for their participation in public duties. This is real work, but they also get a very nice stipend. That used to be funded by the government through the Civil List, but now the money comes from the Sovereign Grant, which is her share of the profits of the Crown Estates. She uses this money to fund the Royal enterprises. The Duke of York has been on the payroll. My guess is that he won’t get paid by the Sovereign Fund anymore. If he gets any money, it would have to come from the Queen’s private funds. He will have to go to work.
Tourists are money.
The Monarchy brings in lots of money and not just from the tourists.
Joe Biden fondles little children in the public and he is running for president. Clinton is celebrated for raping and beating women.
