I go to Chick Fil A because of their tasty and reasonable priced chicken sandwiches

not because whatever their politics are of the day, or what group they donate to

Doesn’t matter to me as well as many Americans who don’t let politics run their lives

Politics runs your life whether you realize it or not. Maybe if you live in a bunker somewhere or are 80 years old and close to checking out of this world, you don’t have to worry about it. There’s cultural/moral war going on out there; it’s hard to believe that anyone still on this website is so dense that they can’t see it. You won’t lose the country you love by losing one big battle...it’ll be lost by losing a million little battles.

It’s getting to the point where Corporations won’t even bother with donating to causes, because it’s becoming a “no win” situation. Just say that “we will no longer donate to any causes and instead use the resources on our core business.” In a way, that wouldn’t be a bad thing. Focus on your products. Individuals should donate to causes, not corporations.

Excellent point. At one time many things were outside of the realm of politics. No more. Thanks to the Democrat Party since Alinsky (and particularly since Obama) absolutely EVERY facet of American life has not been politicized. You either take a side and stand your ground. or you get steamrolled.

You sound bitter

You ALLOW politics run your life

I chose not to

I patronize the businesses I do because I like the products/services they provide

Chick Fil A should set up a private foundation, donate to that and let the foundation disperse the money as seen fit. That way corporate isn’t involved and they can keep making great chicken sandwiches that Americans love. But that is my opinion, they can do whatever they want with their money. Once I paid it to them, it is theirs. They can donate and support Hillary for President for all I care.

I don’t want to bog myself down with researching nonsense instead of just researching what I need. Right now I looking to replace my dishwasher, I am researching which is the best model, quiet, and most bang for the buck so to speak, but of course willing to pay more quality, as long as it is worth it to me. I am not researching to see if the company donates to Dimms or if the night Janitor went to a Joe Biden event last month.

Amen to that.

I find it interesting that statements made like the one to which you responded seem to be primarily by freepers who joined SINCE TRUMP’S PRESIDENCY BEGAN. At least one on this thread, and then three others since yesterday who I welcomed to FR. All in my recent posting history.

Politics runs your life whether you realize it or not.

No truer words.

Those who think they can disengage and therefore not be affected by the fascist political battle waged by the left are either tragically naive, or are just rock stupid.

Lord I wish people would realize this at long last! How do they think the Left has taken so much territory in the culture war? They've done it bit by bit by bit -- all while we sit by, shrug, and say things like "It's just a fast-food joint."
