I come very close to seeing Ken Starr as a quisling.

Couldn’t see any problems with the Foster death.

Now he thinks Trump needs to be told to leave.

Ken, go away...

Any number of ways the GOP could shut it down. AG Rip Van Barr may want to set his alarm a little before ten AM some day for one thing. Senator Graham might consider actually DOING something instead of just talking about it for once. There are any number of ways the GOP could shut this down but they don’t. I suspect a number of them have “Hunter” problems as well.

The Constitution died the minute Wilson entered the White House. There. Fixed it.

Lindsey Graham is a whole different story. I don't like the guy, but I've been saying here for more than two months that running a Senate committee hearing about the same idiocy as the House committee hearing is simply not a good idea. It's counterproductive, it makes the Republicans in the Senate look as pathetic as their Democrat counterparts in the House, and there's a danger that the Senate hearings will completely miss critical items that come up in the testimony of the House witnesses. In a political/legal proceeding like this, it's best to have the "prosecution" put all their cards on the table instead of giving them avenues to change their case as they go along.

And if you think the U.S. Attorney General has any business getting involved in House proceedings then you really have no idea what you're talking about.

Read up on William Barr's history and the legal philosophy that drives him, and you'll understand why: (1) he's the perfect man for the job he's in right now, (2) he will have no involvement in this House circus, and (3) the Democrats fear him more than any other Trump cabinet member.

At a time like this it's best to educate ourselves and stop thinking this is a WWE match.

“Senator Graham might consider actually DOING something instead of just talking about it for once.”

Last night, Tucker was pretty tough on Miss Lindsey for making bold bloviating promises of investigations, and then doing nothing. When he contacted LG’s office for reason(s), he got the runaround and was basically told “no investigation”, and thbat the isses would be handled in another way.

Graham is blowing sunshine up our butts, and that’s all there is to it. He has too much to hide, it seems.

You are unwittingly, IMHO, making an error which is understandable. You are still reasoning like the old rules apply, which they no longer do. You think the “battle” is in rooms with wood paneled walls filled with men in suits. The actual “battle” so far is a PR battle. If Barr were to arrest Comey Impeachment would be a side show. What is on TV screens right now would be Rat corruption and crime not a kangaroo trial which is currently on Prime Time.

If you're going to pursue a case in a criminal court, you bet your ass the "old rules" still apply.

The actual “battle” so far is a PR battle. If Barr were to arrest Comey Impeachment would be a side show.

1. Trump is WINNING this PR battle.

2. I'd love to see Comey arrested. But that case has to be airtight, and understandable to the public (since this is a "PR battle," right?). The absolute worst thing that could possibly happen would be for Comey to be acquitted before Election Day 2020.

I wouldn’t care if a two year drawn out trial acquitted Comey.

Here, IMHO, is the problem in your reasoning. You think Barr would “let the chips fall” but he won’t. Once he starts arresting people you know as well as I there will be a line he will not cross. Comey, Hillary, 0bama himself. There will be a line where he absolutely will not go up the chain. Barr’s problem, again, IMHO is that he has not decided as yet just where he will draw that line. Again IMHO the delay is because he is hoping he will be “overcome by events” and he won’t have to make that decision.
