Forget the Democrats' talking points. Forget the media spin. If you watched Lt. Col. Vindman's testimony today it was a total dud for the Democrats and their impeachment witch hunt. Need proof? I've compiled ten reasons that the show today did not advance the Democrats' narrative one bit.
Its hard to imagine why pointing this out is even necessary, but Democrat counsel Daniel Goldman seemed to be under the impression that unelected bureaucrats set U.S. policy, not the president.
This would be kind of important for such an important witness, don't you think?
Once again, this looks really bad for the Democrats. If he doesn't have firsthand knowledge of the alleged quid pro quo, why are we even talking to him?
Which pretty much negates the entire need for this impeachment inquiry, doesn't it? If Trump was within his rights to seek assistance in an investigation, then he did nothing wrong.

Apparently Vindman has been reprimanded for insubordination.
Lt. Col. Flounder, born in Ukraine, thought he should be in charge of our foreign policy towards his home country.
Sounds like Vindman is just a disgruntled employee who doesn't like his new boss, a bureaucrat who thinks a lot of himself doesn't like being told what to do, or it is personal with Vindman.
Government bureaucrats don't like people disrupting the process. Maybe a process is old, tired and worn and maybe fresh new ideas are needed. Unfortunately, people can get so caught up in the process that they can't see the forest for the trees.
>>> 8. Vindman admitted having no firsthand knowledge of aid or an investigation and was just following news accounts and 9. Vindman admitted he never had direct contact with president Trump
For such self-proclaimed Ukraine Expert, Trump never even acknowledged his existence. President Trump’s biggest “crime’ apparently is that he ruffled Deep State careerists’ feathers (i.e., not taking their advise on How Things Are Done).
He’s sooooo personally pissed off that he himself altered the Trump-Zelensky phone call transcript.
Just remember that when Leftists touted his hero status.
“””””””””’#11. He was advertised as some kind of military hero and came across as a pompous ass who never strayed far from his desk. “”””””””””””
Yes, but paper cuts can hurt. Plus, you could get an infection or something.
Norah O'Donnell ✔ @NorahODonnellHPSCI counsel: after that conversation [with Pres. Trump], you were still under the impression that the aid was contingent on these public announcements?
Sondland: I did not get that from President Trump, but I was under the impression that absolutely it was contingent.

Steven Portnoy ✔ @stevenportnoyHere are two more examples of a so-called First Hand Witness injecting his own personal opinion which led to this 'impeachment inquiry' Schiff and Pelosi et al. should be so proud."President Trump never told me directly that the aid was conditioned on" an announcement of investigations, Sondland says.
He says that conclusion was "my own personal guess," adding it up, as "two-plus-two-equals-four."

Why was this even mentioned in an impeachment hearing?
“He was advertised as some kind of military hero and came across as a pompous ass who never strayed far from his desk.”
But, he always wins when he plays the other guys in the office at “Axis & Allies” after work!
watch smarmy vindman as he gets caught in a lie

Axis & Allies
I remember that as being a pretty good game. Haven’t played since the 90’s.
Because he was Peter Strozk in a Lt.Colonels uniform perhaps?
If little smug, seditious pricks inside the Beltway were a dollar a piece, the national budget would have no deficits.
If that is true then his career is at an end. Furthermore, if they are P.O.’d enough at him he may be retired as a major, the last rank at which he satisfactorily performed. That has a big impact on his retirement pay.
I heard it on the TV last night. It was “hearsay” so it is better than direct testimony. So I am going with it. :)
I think that he will be treated as a hero now. Or maybe he will be used and then discarded. The Left tend to disrespect anyone in the service. So maybe it will be the latter.
bkmk
Yep, I’m sure all the Nightly News Broadcasts and the NYT above the fold Headlines will be spreading this great news far and wide.
Cough, cough.
Meanwhile all of us living in a Bubble will be celebrating.
Note to self: Never forget, perception always beats reality and Epstein didn’t kill himself.
He is a spy/operative for the Ukrainians and the democrats
