Americans have a keen sense of fairness.

While that was once the case, I'm not so sure it is a correct statement anymore. The lines are drawn and the divisions are deep, and fairness no longer is a word that deserves to be in the lexicon when it pertains to politics. One side, while mostly still adhering to that, the other side is committed to the ends justify the means, period.

The media has a warped sense of fairness, and most Americans are just sheep who think the way the media tells them to.

That’s certainly true of Democrat House leadership - they have abandoned all pretense of fairness. But I’m pretty sure the OP was talking about the voters - their sense of fairness will be tested one year from now.
