Are they “instructed” to inform on their parents?
I went to their website and there's one school in MO taking part in this. It's a private school called New City School and tuition is over $20k per year. No info on # of student but looking at the size of the building on google/maps, it can't be more than 150 students.

Looking at other locations, they all seem to be small private schools.
Oddly enough, the townhall article doesn't include the word "private" in it at all. There have been private schools of all flavors for decades. Townhall(or Marina Medvin, author) is trying to create panic over less than a couple of dozen small private schools.
Wonder what would happen and how would the morons that are pushing this react if an angry, historically literate conservative parent were to bring an English translation of the Nazi children’s book “The poisonous mushroom” to a school board meeting and tell them, “show me how your curriculum doesn’ t line up with this?”
Take it one step further: we all know the outcome of the Nazi propaganda against the Jews.
Are you people pushing for the same outcome?

To retain your parental rights, you need to home school. Also lobby & speak out to state government officials - demand that vouchers be used to return property taxes and other monies you were forced to pay into a collectivist school district so that you have those resources to be a parent, and home school your OWN kids free of the interference of other noisy parents hammering the School Board members and Superintendent for "progressive" changes to the school's operations.
Try using K12.com, to supplement homeschooling. They offer classes online, and young people take readily to online instruction.....
Which is why it's important to support "right to work" and overturning mandatory government union membership.
In Wisconsin in 2011, right-to-work legislation reduced membership, particularly school teacher union membership, significantly. Public-sector union membership rates fell from more than 60% since 2010 to 18.9 percent in 2017.
Public schools were the nation's first socialist entitlement.
Progressives have always controlled teacher training and curriculum development.
Progressives have always pushed for greater and greater secularism. By the 1960s it was nothing more than a nod to God and pure godless humanism for the rest of the day.
Children who attend socialist schools learn to be comfortable with socialism. It only took 1 t0 3 generations to produce voters that gave the nation two Roosevelts and Woodrow Wilson. That **fundamentally** changed the nation!
Children who attended schools that merely nodded in God's direction learned to be casual toward God.
Children who attend godless schools **WILL** learn to think and reason godlessly. They must just to cooperate in the godless classroom and do their godless homework. How many hours out of a child's life is that?
Please read my post #28.
Public schooling is a socialist-entitlement. They must be eliminated.
I do agree with yo, though. Abolishing the teachers unions would help a little.
Most mothers are never going to give up sending the kids to school, in order to home school. And I’m speaking as somebody who home-schooled all my kids.
People who demand “all or nothing” solutions, will get nothing.
The lesson we need to learn from how the Left was successful, is to look at what SMALL, INCREMENTAL change we can accomplish within a year or two, and all get behind pushing THAT.
The first incremental change we COULD accomplish, is getting the unions out of the schools.
I agree. It would reduce the highly organized political power of teachers. That would be an important move forward.
All conservatives, however, should understand that socialist-entitlement schooling was built upon a corrupt socialist ( progressive) foundation. It cannot be reformed for those reasons. The ultimate goal should be complete shut down of government schooling on every level.
And can WE do something about it?
Sure can. Theyre call School Board Elections. But most people, especially conservatives, are too busy (read lazy) to actually run in one.
