He is a Federal special prosecutor and can go wherever he had too to nail the crooks.

The chicken littles on this board need to calm down instead of looking up to the sky, like a turkey and drowning in the rain.

While I can understand the frustration of some regarding the pessimism expressed here, that pessimism is extremely rational. We have seen how the government works. We know that it protects its own, and doesn't give a fig about actual justice or anything else except protecting it's power and prerogatives.

How many federal agents were prosecuted in the Weaver case? How many were even indicted for burning almost 100 people alive in Waco? "Justice is not a word in the vocabulary of our government.

Our pessimism is warranted by past behavior. I see nothing that indicates anything different is going to happen in the future. Especially when one takes into account that William Barr work pro bono in support of Lon Hourchi, who shot Vicky Weaver in the head for carrying a loaded infant.

He can go wherever he wants, but if he wants to indict any one, he must impanel a grand jury in one of the federal court districts, and that grand jury can only indict people for crimes committed within its jurisdiction:

"the federal grand jury's function is to determine whether a person shall be tried for a serious federal crime alleged to have been committed within the district where it sits"

Handbook for Federal Grand Jurors

“that pessimism is extremely rational”

One man’s pessimism is another man’s realism.

National crimes like treason are not restricted by this btw. Also they won’t be tried in civilian courts.

“National crimes like treason are not restricted by this btw.”

There is no actual legal category of “national crimes”, so what exactly are you talking about?

“Also they won’t be tried in civilian courts.”

Sorry, that’s just a fantasy.

No fantasy as its reality we have set Gitmo up for military tribunals for our civilian domestic enemies. Over 300 million in renovations has been spent for the courts and places to house lawyers and holding cells. They were completed about six months ago. Marine reserve units are on alert for domestic operations.

Anyone who is not a sympathizer or a plotter has nothing to worry about. But if they are it’s going to be hell to pay.

Investigations take TIME.

Often takes more time than the Statute of Limitations runs out.

There are treason charges in the indictments and those of us who know are getting ready for it. Officially!

After every FR legal beagle has explained how Treason is only possible during war time? </s>

Negative thinkers are always right........... or pleasantly surprised.

If no indictments it is a useless endeavor. Everyone knows the DOJ/FBI/CIA/NSA etc... violated policy and the law multiple times on multiple levels. They are totally corrupt and untrustworthy and yet people who are their fellow employees go on their merry way accepting this corruption, content to have themselves and their reputations tarnished as utterly devoid of honor and liars. At least in the mafia there was a code, everyone lived by it. In the US government, anything is fair game and the operative words of life is SCREW THE PEOPLE, WE ARE IN CHARGE!

We have been at war since the Al Qaida attacks of Sept 11 2001.

I’m guessing “Days Of Our Lives” and “General Hospital” will air as scheduled that week.

No, Gitmo is set up for military tribunals for enemy combatants and even then, when US citizens are captured committing acts of war and tried as enemy combatants, the Supreme Court has already ruled that they still have the right to habeas corpus and due process and can appeal to the federal civilian courts. So it’s a fantasy.

Yup. I'd really like to believe that the laws of the land will be applied equally, but I don't. Past results are an indication of future results.

Sorry, but your anecdotal assertions do not overrule the Supreme Court of the United States.
