President Richard Nixon’s son-in-law said Monday that House Democrats are being driven by the “AOC effect," arguing that Speaker Nancy Pelosi faced significant pressure from far-left members to pursue impeachment.

“Most of her conference is in majority Democratic districts and they are all scared of a primary and that’s what’s driving them in large part,” Ed Cox told “Fox & Friends."

Cox said that despite Pelosi’s initial decision to pull back the impeachment push, the lawmaker chose to maintain her position in leadership by going along with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s, D-Calif., impeachment inquiry.

Of course because as Hannity says, AOC is the real speaker of the House. Pelosi is speaker in name only.

Cox was Chairman of the NY State GOP. GOP was in retreat in NY during Cox’s tenure, because, like other GOPe, he believes in the justice & inevitability of the rule of the left. Even if he believes there is “a better way”, he accepts their premises and hopes to be eaten last. He won’t be.

The democrats continuously outsmart the Republicans at every turn.

Last session, when the Republicans held both Houses, they were held hostage by the democrats and were helpless. Could not pry anything at all from the DOJ or put a halter on Mueller. It was basically not evident that the House held the gavel. Of course, Paul Ryan held it, and he makes a fairly decent democrat.

Now, little adam schiff is throwing his weight around unchallenged. A little backtalk from Republicans, mostly on TV, but that is all.

The DOJ is treading water, waiting patiently for the next election. When Trump wins, they will appoint a Special Prosecutor and try to get through to the next election with another investigation.

Notice, the Republicans timidly wait around and try find some legal footing to proceed. And notice that the democrats say to hell with legal footing, we do what we want, and the Republicans wring their little hands.

THey weren't helpless. They love and admire their Demorat buddies, loathed and despised Trump, and want to continue hiring illegal aliens to mow their yards for below minimum wage.

They wring their hands and beg for money. I became a registered Libertarian so they would stop calling me up every day during a campaign season, telling me to send a hundred bucks.

Do they do this to all elderly widows?

They wanted $50 from me that I had supposedly pledged. I finally told the person that it would be impossible for me to get drunk enough to pledge $50 to the Republican Party. The person hung up and I got no more calls.

Yep I got the same. First they go through the spell of do you support lower taxes? Yes. Do you support control of our border? Yes. Do you support President Trump? Yes. Then the lady asked would you be willing to support the Republican Party. And I said “Yes. Just as soon as they support lower taxes, border and imagration control and President Trump!” She hung up.

The real tragedy is that Trump will get re-elected and loose the house and senate and be impeached again all because of these worthless sacks of crap call republicans. Its their plan.

".... The democrats continuously outsmart the Republicans at every turn...."

I believe that's because the democRATS are in their politics for the long run and have long-range plans that they relentlessly push every chance they get. They play hard and dirty without shame or rules. Win at all costs. And if they can't win, they do what they've been doing now to get Trump out of office. They cheat, steal and fabricate stuff to get their way.

The democRATS have infiltrated the education system, the media and the legal system (almost all lawyers are democRATS) and are doing a damn good job indoctrinating the youth of today to be loyal followers of tomorrow.

Republicans OTOH, just seem to be in the moment. Not into the future. They don't have a long range plans. They don't want to get their hands dirty. They would rather lose than fight and get soiled.

In my own personal case, I have discovered with the help of Trump's election, that most of the politicians and media people who I thought were conservatives, have been exposed as just democRATS with a little "r" pin on their lapels. Conservatives truly are the silent majority. But it is all about greed and power (DUH!) and not about doing what is right for the country or Americans. Most of them could care less about the people except to get themselves elected so they can rape and pillage the taxpayers' coffers.

Makes an old guy cynical.
