Scalise did not answer Wallace’s question. Scalise was evasive.
I tentatively conclude that at least some of those Schiff witnesses were on the phone call, and that the transcript of the call had important portions removed.
My only doubt is based on why in the world were all of those people listening to the call, and if they were then certainly the two leaders knew it and would have said only things that they wanted the world to hear.
You miss the point totally. Scalise was pointing out that Mr. Trump doesn’t get to have his side of the story told. He doesn’t get anyone to come and say, “wait, that isn’t how it happened.” Instead, we get a parade of coached witnesses (that one cant even question about being coached) who mouth Schiff’s words.
Wall Ass plays the game like he has been trained to and asks Scalise to respond to the witnesses. By even responding, you accept their premise as being remotely true. It was a trap and Scalise saw through it.
The President doesn’t get to have the same basic rights as you and I. No calling witnesses, no cross examination, no facing your accuser. It’s all so very Soviet.
Then again, do we really have those rights? I mean, if they can do this to the President, they can do this to you and I.
Wallace asked a hypothetical question using only witnesses that were parsed to support the Dems fake persecution of Trump.
It was Wallace participating in the sham and Scalise nailed him for it.
