You miss the point totally. Scalise was pointing out that Mr. Trump doesnt get to have his side of the story told. He doesnt get anyone to come and say, wait, that isnt how it happened. Instead, we get a parade of coached witnesses (that one cant even question about being coached) who mouth Schiffs words.
Wall Ass plays the game like he has been trained to and asks Scalise to respond to the witnesses. By even responding, you accept their premise as being remotely true. It was a trap and Scalise saw through it.
The President doesnt get to have the same basic rights as you and I. No calling witnesses, no cross examination, no facing your accuser. Its all so very Soviet.
Then again, do we really have those rights? I mean, if they can do this to the President, they can do this to you and I.
“You miss the point totally. Scalise was pointing out that Mr. Trump doesnt get to have his side of the story told.”
I see now that Scalise said that the President says those things didn’t happen. That satisfies me so I take back my conclusion.
But the remainder of the interview and some of your comments are peripheral. You say “The president doesn’t get to have the same basic rights ...” He doesn’t in the current interrogations because of ground rules but the Trump team will have their turn.
