Schiff bamboozles Republicans in Yovanovitch hearing

As chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, under the rules Herr Gruppenführer Schiff devised for his impeachment inquiry, he gets to begin every hearing with an opening statement, followed by opening statements from the witness — in Friday's iteration, Yovanovitch — and Republican ranking committee member Devin Nunes.

After the opening statements, Schiff gets 45 minutes, any portion of which he can delegate, at his discretion, to Democratic counsel Daniel Goldman. Nunes then gets his 45 minutes under the same rules. All this is followed by five-minute intervals of questioning alternating between members of each party.

Schiff's rules disallow the presence of White House counsel, and while Republicans can call witnesses, they must be approved by a committee vote, so essentially, Schiff decides, and that means no Republican witnesses.

Against all odds, and the predictions of...well, everybody, Republicans killed them at the Taylor/Kent hearing. The Republican members of HPSCI (If you Google "Republican Members of HPSCI," the first thing that "nonpartisan" Google gives you is the list of the Democratic Party members.), led by the 1970s band Jordan, Ratcliffe, and Stefanik, bludgeoned the two bureaucrats mercilessly. It was a great show.

The Republicans had a plan to do the same to Yovanovitch, and it was a good plan. It would have worked, too. After all, it succeeded against Blasey Ford with her tiny voice and gigantic glasses. Or at least it didn't fail, and it allowed Lindsey Graham time to find his testicular fortitude and pucker up.

Of course Nunes knew the rules. He is not stupid. He could only delegate his time to an employee not a member. What he did was create a show of Schiff gaveling down a female GOP Rep on National TV. His counsel did an effective job on Masha if not as devastating as Stefanik would have done.

I believe it was gay pride parade, not a protest although there many Ukrainians protesting the parade and many arrests of the anti-gay group. I don’t know if she has come out, but they claim she is one of them.

I read on another internet site that she headed up a LBGT??? group in government which works to get their people placed in the good jobs, such as ambassadorships.

Who cares. Let them impeach him and then let PDJT call a slew of witnesses in a senate trial and he can systematically undress the democrats - recall the ambassador and prove everything he said about her was true - and blow up their game.

If done CORRECTLY - it would ruin the dims. Hence the reason I do not believe they will actually impeach him - because they know all of this.

Predict that if and when this goes to Senate where the Schiff alternate reality ceases to exist and Republicans have standing to defend the President , present evidence and witnesses if their own and the freedom to impeach Dem witnesses and sanction for perjury , Yovo’s testimony is going to be very damaging to Democrats impeachment efforts and absolutely devastating to Joe and Hunter Biden as well as many other Obama era corrupt hacks

Hopefully that and lots more.

Which of course is why they may not even put up articles of impecchment, and just leave what they have done out there hoping it does some damage.

Most of which will be done to them IMO.

The schitt show is just that, smoke and mirrors to take us off the real story with an acceptable end for them, a label on Trump and a list of his people who they convicted and jailed. The weaponized agencies and their benefactors Soros and outside influences have a plan that is going to effect America while they test their plans in other nations

Imho the Rats are in sort of the same position as the dog that finally caught the car. Now what? They have pushed Impeachment as far as it is ever gonna go but they can’t find a way to back out of it.
