What Senator Lindsay says and what he does are two VERY different things. My question is, how deep does the rot in Ukraine go, and does Senator Lindsay really want the truth? My suspicion is that the answers to those questions are “deep” and “NO”...

So true. Have seen articles where they allege payments to Biden’s son, Kerry’s Son, and companies owned by the Kerrys...

Who knows how many more “ representatives” wet their beaks off similar arrangements but they aren’t public yet....

Also recall Trump briefly mentioned Pelosi’s sons name , to me a shot across the bow that I know you are dirty too....

Biden is in the Senate Club (former Senator).

They aren’t going to call anyone with the name Biden.

I think "speech or debate" would be broadly construed to mean any workings of the chamber, including conducting committee hearings.

Committees are really the whole chamber delegating the "debating" (fact-finding) to a subset, to be worked out and reported back to the whole.

I wouldn't bet on taking it too narrowly mean actual debate on the floor of the chamber.

Not sure how it will all go down, but the Democrats can’t afford to ever let this get to the Senate. There must be some procedure available for the House to impeach the President and then never actually refer those charges to the Senate.

The Senate could have a real investigation and that would expose the Democrats and their ‘Whistleblower’ as a partisan hack planted by the deep state. In the end, all the bad exposure Trump is currently suffering will eventually boomerang back on the Democrats and they will end up in opposition in 2020. Somebody likely reminded Nancy that win or lose in 2020, she’s done as the speaker so appeasing their base is necessary for the parties long term future. That and the distraction this fiasco creates is required to prolong the real investigations long enough so that they are never pursued.

...said he’d call Schiff...

This is just Linda-Speak for re-election.

We've been burned too many times by the fraud Graham.

Not holding my breath, at all.

If this Eric Ciaramello guy is not the whistlebower, then the Senate should be free to call him to testify.

Agreed.

They can question Schiff about contacts on his own time outside of chambers, or call his staff instead of him.

Senator Lindsay told us about all kinds of things he would do with respect to Russiagate. AND? Nada.

Yes, lots of wet beaks...and wet operations perhaps.

It is all pretty disgusting

Sure, but would Graham actually make the charge first? Republicans are always too timid to make a bold accusation like that.

And then, Graham would be limited to questioning Schiff about that subject alone, and would not be able to extend it to House business.

Doesn’t matter if he is or isn’t, the Senate can call anyone to testify.

If he refuses, then we will know...........

“...Schiff is immune from being called to appear before the Senate for actions he took in the House.”

Schiff is not immune to being called as a fact-witness in the fake whistleblower’s case.

He is and Nancy Pelosi has a big pile of Schiff problem.

I am worried that some of those wet beaks are Senators and they will be told that the Deep State knows all and will expose them or worse if they don’t vote to convict.

How many attempted coups are democrats allowed before they are arrested for sedition?

Correct. Pay no attention to Graham’s gum flapping. Is Graham using his Senate powers and gathering any facts regarding the ongoing coup? Nope. That is something he should be doing independently of the House circus and not doing it makes him a coup co-conspirator.

Ok, he has immunity for what he says while in the House. But, what about all his comments on news shows?

Also, what about his staff, they have no immunity.

It’s much easier for the Senate to have a full investigation of the coup now without the theater of impeachment trial. That they aren’t doing that tells you they won’t be doing it later, either.
