If I were CEO of that corp, I’d send the Guv a letter stating:

In the fight against CLIMATE CHANGE we have decided to stop ALL deliveries of the EVIL CO2 PRODUCING NATURAL GAS to your state.

Have an ICE day.........................................

The utility’s fundamental legal obligation “was to plan and provide for future needs,” the governor wrote. “You failed by your own admission.”

How is adding transmission infrastructure by building a pipeline NOT planning and providing for future needs? Yet the goobermint are the ones preventing the pipeline construction.

I think they should tell NYC to get their gas somewhere else. I’m sick of these tyrant city-states. They want their services, but want their green socialism too. Not compatible.

“National Grid should have looked into alternatives, including shipping gas via trucks, ships or barges, or proposing other infrastructure means or building more unloading facilities.”

Those alternatives spill gas at 40 times the rate pipelines do and jam the already overloaded highways with more dangerous trucks.

Brilliant eco-terror there, Cuomo.

New York regulators blocked the construction of a $1 billion natural gas pipeline that would have run from Pennsylvania to New Jersey and New York.

Huh … looks like government created the problem.

“Just crank up the psi 50% over capacity and let the whole place blow”

I was thinking the other way. Do what Como demands and let the pressure drop to virtually nothing. Would be interesting to see the reaction.

Does not matter how STOOOOOPID and nonsensical this is. New Yorkers will obviously continue to elect him anyhow.

If you make a law, the natural gas will come. Trust me, I’m your government.

Another approach would be for the state to take over National Grid and fix their “faults in the production and distribution process”.

It worked for Venezuela:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-24185342

“The Venezuelan government has taken over a toilet paper factory to avoid any scarcity of the product.

The National Guard has taken control of the plant, and officers will monitor production and distribution.

Earlier this year officials ordered millions of toilet rolls to be imported to counter a chronic shortage.

Last week President Nicolas Maduro created a special committee to tackle the problem, which the government blames on unscrupulous traders.

The government ordered the temporary occupation of the Manpa plant in the northern state of Aragua, state-run Radio AVN reported.

In a tweet on Thursday, Venezuela’s Vice President, Jorge Arreaza, said authorities would “not permit hoarding of essential commodities, or any faults in the production and distribution process.”

In Northern CA they are mandating that all new Homes be 100% Electric. No Natural Gas allowed.

NJ over the next five years.

Are you sure about that?

NJ is right now building a secondary link through central and south Jersey, RIGHT NOW. It went through my area over the summer, huge like 30” steel pipe for a 2nd redundant Natural Gas Link.

NJ and Philly have Natural Gas hubs as well

NJ also has the refineries as well. It was the reason our Gas, until recently, was the 2nd cheapest in the nation behind Alaska.

I don’t see NJ having supply issues anytime soon

Thank God Chris Christie was governor when all of these pipelines were approved and now are being constructed.

NJ and PA will be nice and warm this winter, let the idiot New Yorkers freeze this winter.

Stalin demanded numerical measures of output from each sector of the economy. But the collectivist system caused equipment and people to be unable to do their jobs. So he had the local supervisors shot.

Cuomo likes the idea.

Democrats don’t want more CO2. Then they demand more fossil fuel, which emit the CO2 they just banned, be shipped to their region!

Democrats are deeply conflicted about climate change.
