Deval Patrick, the former governor of Massachusetts, has announced that he is running for president in the 2020 race. Patrick made it official in an online video posted early Thursday morning.
Patrick was a guest on "CBS This Morning" on Thursday for his first interview following his announcement.
A CBS News contributor since September, Patrick will no longer serve in that role. "Governor Patrick has been a political contributor to CBS News but in light of this decision, the network will be discontinuing that relationship," CBS News said.

When one thinks the clown car could get smaller this happens. Deval has worked for wait for it....Bain Capital after he left politics. Bernie and Fauxcahontas only need to recycle attack ads from 2012 replacing Willard with Deval.

Ah, gov of Massachusetts.
All the corruption of California.
With none of the appeal.
Yeah, let’s get more “smart” leaders.
Like the Kennedy “screw anything” clowns, Lurch, RINOmney, and Dukakis.
Such a list to be proud of.
We’d be better off to transport MIT outta there and “take care” of the rest of the state.

I think he’s almost certain to get Obama’s backing, FWIW.

We’re gonna need a bigger clown car.
To: C19fan
If AOC was of age, she’d be in. Actually, that might not matter because we’d be racist and sexist for questioning her qualifications. So never mind.

I thought it was Corey Booker when I saw the picture.
This LEFT WING SOCIALIST passes as moderate compared to the other clowns running?
To: brownsfan
This guy has absolutely no chance, zero, zip, nada. With Booker and Harris cratering, he's jumping in to fill the "person of color" role in the clown car. He probably figures to bring in a few million in donations, make a few appearances in nearby New Hampshire on the cheap, then drop out as soon as he can.

Amazing since he was a big Liz Warren booster during her run for the Senate. In fact many of Warren's people were on Deval Patrick's staff. This will devastate Warren's campaign. Deval was a total bust as governor, not that means anything to Democrats. It will be interesting to see which way the elites in the Northeast split between the two camps. My feeling is that it will kill both campaigns leaving Bernie on top.
To: C19fan
Yawn! Will announce his dropping out in 5 to 6 weeks.

I beg to differ, we have far worse corruption than California. Also out of all those clowns you list only Dukakis grew-up in Massachusetts. Ted Kennedy only summered here. Liz Warren, Oklahoma and Deval Patrick is from Chicago. For some reason liberals here like carpetbaggers.

Uber-liberal Deval (then-Mass Gov) sap-happily applauds his new state police chief
wearing her spiffy Commandant Herman Goering uniform (not photoshopped).
Anybody know how to say versimilitude in German?
Herman Goering.

Yep. If it appears a person has no reason to run, there is a reason. It’s either to make some easy money, or to gain influence and a possible position in a new administration. Scratch the latter, so it is the former.
