Do the phone records even confirm the call was made? So much is made up, I wouldn’t doubt the call was too.
We’d like to see it confirmed that both the hearer(s) and the receiving phone itself were in that restaurant. If either were anywhere else, it would have to have been wiretapped. It may in any event have been electronically eavesdropped.
Remember, Newt’s call was captured from a car that was not physically within hearing distance.
