In head-to-head matchups, former Vice President Joe Biden ran strongest against Trump, leading the president 51% to 43%, fueled by solid support from women and independents. Other matchups against South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and U.S. Sens. Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are much tighter.
The findings provide an early snapshot of the developing race in Georgia one year out from the election and strengthens claims that the state will be a 2020 battleground.
For Democrats, the most encouraging finding might be the shift of independents, a largely white bloc of voters that has traditionally leaned Republican. A majority of independents support the impeachment inquiry, and about 60% disapprove of Trumps job performance.

The poll is laughable. Even libtard Nate Cohen is currently trashing it on Twitter.
Didn’t Hillary turn this state blue last time around?
>> Governor Stacey Abrams is elated by these findings.
As is Congressman Ossoff.
huh...
Trump will win Georgia by a larger margin than Gen. Sherman.
Trump won by 5% points over Hillary. He had over 50% despite a Libertarian Gary Johnson grabbing 3% of the vote. Not a battleground.
You mean Fantasy Governor.
“Send more Hillary”
BS....................
GA is a gun rights state.
All of the major metropolitan counties voted for Hillary. With the federal aide held up for over a year from Hurricane Michael, it is going to be a tough sell.
I truly believe that Georgia can turn blue for the first time in a long while.
Lulz
Everyone knows media polls are always 100% accurate. And that Greg Bluestein is an even-handed centrist political reporter with no agenda.
I think “Didn’t Hillary turn this state blue” was sarcasm ;)
Yet the networks held off calling GA for Trump for a very long time. They did the same with MO.
Polls are dogsh*t. Don’t believe any of them. They are paid push polls and don’t mean a thing.
Really? You want to be that cocky considering that the dims came within a hair or winning in 2018 and Trump only won by 5% in 2016?
What people fail to realize in this board is their own normalcy bias-and demographics. Will he win the state-most likely-but over-confidence is idiocy.
“Stacey Abrams is elated”
I thought she was still making pancakes.
