I mean whoever heard of an Inspector General's report in any field where the accused get to review and even edit the facts of their own wrongdoing? This is nonsense.

The review is required by law. They don't get to edit the facts.

"Required by law" but who do you think passes such laws, the public? No the politicians. To protect their backsides at all costs.

They may not be able to edit the "facts" but being able to delay their approval of what is said about them until it becomes ineffective accomplishes the same thing.

There should be no review of Inspector General's reports by those names as wrongdoers in the report itself.

That defeats the purpose of an "inspector's report".

Let the named wrongdoers fight over the facts in a court of law or the media but leave the Inspector General's report alone as written.
