Joe DiGenova, on his usual Monday appearance on WMAL dropped a real bombshell. It will make you mad, but explain a lot of stuff we're seeing now.
He starts at about the 10 min mark.

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Err.....something like that.
It wasnt funny when I started posting it almost a year ago. Its even less funny now.
“Mitch McConnell can’t just snap his fingers and order up a new rule. The cultural barrier to rules changes is much higher in the Senate.”
Well of course he can. If he wants a rules change he gets it with 50 Senators voting with him. Perhaps, maybe the cultural aspect of the Senate would prevent this but to say McConnell “cannot” is simply not true.
If the Majority Leader can’t get the Minority Leader to consent to subpoenas, the Majority Leader can dismiss the Case for lack of interest by the Minority.
Just wanted you to know buddy that my cynicism and frustration is not aimed at you. Personally, I would love for the these "reports" to have that kind of impact, but I don't believe they will do a damn thing.
Remember the "Nunes Memo?" It was going to "Shake the foundations of our government!"
Someone is feeding this garbage to Hannity, diGenova, Carter, etc.
Perhaps they are the designated "cheerleaders" that are supposed to keep our hope alive?
Well, we are not high school kids sitting in the bleachers. They need to put up or shut up.
“In order to issue subpoenas in the Senate, the Senate chairman need the CONSENT of the ranking minority member (Dem).”
Yep, Senate rules - at least until the Democrats take over.

Hannity, et al meanwhile make a fortune on the ratings...
I don’t think it matters, the hard truth is McConnell is going to grant an immediate motion to dismiss, which will pass 51-49ish, or possibly 51-50 with Pence getting the final word before voting to dismiss.
McConnell bound by rules he can change anytime?
Gimmie a break, Joe.
They aren’t doing anything, because they don’t want to.
Simple as that.
Agree - the Dems cant risk a trial in the senate. It is hold expose too much of their corruption.
I think they will illegally vote to censure the president at the end of the house hearings.
We do NOT want a trial. No matter how innocent a person is, the chance of a conviction radically increases with any trial.
We want an IMMEDIATE dismissal vote. (50 needed, Pence can break the tie)
Let me relate a lesson from season 2 of The Apprentice.
In season 2 only, the show instituted the strategy of "immunity." A successful project manager would receive immunity from being called to the boardroom in the next challenge. By being immune from the boardroom, the winning project manager is guaranteed to survive the next task.
The winner of the first task (Bradford Cohen, lawyer) was on the losing team in week 2. When told that he was immune and can return to the suite, Cohen said that he believed the team should stand or fall together, and refused immunity. The losing project manager brought Cohen into the boardroom, claiming that he slacked off during the task.
In the boardroom, Trump's Executive Vice President and Senior Counsel George Ross told Cohen that he made the cardinal error in business: he took a sure thing and turned it into a gamble. While he lauded his loyalty to his team, he should have taken the immunity and lived to fight another day. Instead, he gave up the immunity and took the gamble of the boardroom. Ross said he should be fired for this blunder, and Trump agreed.
The lesson here is to not trade the sure thing (or closest to it) of the motion to dismiss for the gamble of a trial in the Senate.
While it's laudable to want the satisfaction of calling Biden, Clinton, et. al. to appear under oath, it opens up the President to the risks of a Senate trial that might be avoidable.
It's best to take the path that ends this sham at the earliest opportunity possible.

Joe G is about as effective as Trey Gowdy. Overselling and under whelming .
Horowitz is a Deep State puppet so you can forget about him.
Too many compromised Never Trumpers in the Senate. Anything done there on this is risky, because one manipulative media blowup could give them enough cover to strike.
While I agree with you about the use of the word “bombshell”, etc., this is not the word Joe used, but the poster here.
Too many conservatives get all excited and call these various revelations “bombshells” and other hyped-up terms.
Di Genova and others (Molly Hemmingway, John Solomon, etc.) are simply reporters or newsworthy people reporting what is otherwise ignored or hidden by the mainstream media.
To “real news” starved conservatives, these things appear as smoking gun/bombshell/important news that SHOULD be discussed by the media but aren’t.
Listening to House of Commons proceedings, I sometimes want to vomit. But just the US Senate’s RULEs are nauseating. I pointedly refuse to tune in the Knesset channel on Cellcom. Representative democracy is like a slaughterhouse. Absolutely necessary, but to look ruins the appetite.
Rush: There is no immediate future in the Republican Party if you arent pro-Trump. And these Republicans on Capitol Hill had better figure this out today. They had better figure it out today before this show gets started tomorrow. There is no future in the party if youre not pro-Trump. And if you dont understand why Trump has 90-plus support in the Republican Party, you have zero chance of winning in 2024.
And this goes for you Never Trumper conservatives. This goes for all of you magazine and website elites who still believe that Trump is a disease or a disaster waiting to happen and you think the future is post-Trump. If you dont understand 90% support? Thats where your subscribers are, by the way, if you happen to be a conservative media entity. Trump has 90% support, unprecedented support among Republicans. And if the Republican Party doesnt figure this out fast, then theyre not gonna have a chance in 2024.
Now, I dont know Nikki Haleys heart. Ive never met her. I dont know if she has evolved in her respect for Trumps political acumen, implementation of conservatism in unconventional ways. And thats what Trump is. Hes a nonideological implementation of conservatism. Hes not an ideologue. But he has a got a lot of common sense, which is what conservatism is.
Now, it could be that her support for Trump is contrived for her political future. Maybe not. But her current positive statements about Trump are smart politics for a Republican who has aspirations of being elected. Just ask Romney. You think Romney, the way hes positioned himself, sets himself up to be the next Republican nominee? It aint happening, Mitt. Where you currently have staked out your position, you can forget winning the Republican nomination. Cause this has come down to a matter of loyalty now. Youve got the entire Washington state, apparatus and the Democrat Party totally aligned against Donald Trump.
Why do you think its 90% support for Trump? Because those people out there who are Republicans know full well whats happening here. Its not just Trump being attacked, it is them. Its all of us. And so the loyalty to Trump is not just loyalty to Trump. Its loyalty to us, ourselves and the party. And if Republicans dont figure this out starting tonight and into tomorrow, its gonna be a long slog for many of them.
Trump isnt going anywhere. I dont care what Schiffs dreams are, I dont care what Pelosis dreams are, I dont care what any of these leftist dreams are, Trump is not going anywhere, and Republicans with any political sense at all understand that.
Republican Senators who would vote to convict Trump will NEVER win another election. They would be pariahs.
The concept can be extrapolated to Free Republic.
The Republican Party is the only road to a conservative agenda
