No doubt Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) will tell Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) to vote for conviction. Burr has the title of Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee but seems to defer to Sen Mark Warner on every major call. Burr has also announced he is not running for reelection in 2022. Voting again Trump will not cost him a thing and will endear him to the establishment of both parties as well as the press. How many other GOP Senators who don’t plan to run for reelection in 2020, 2022, 2024 will vote for conviction? Lamar Alexander?
