California has had an Armenian population in the San Joaquin Valley for a long, long time. They were fruit growers, and fled here before the Turks could cut their heads off...My grandparents are in this population.. I grew up in the next little town over from Victor Davis Hanson during the same time as he....back when CA was a great place to live.

Yes, there was a time when CA was wonderful...natural beauty combined with a really nice way of living. Very sad to see what it’s become.
